Probably one for DF: when are the national side likely to be playing their next competitve match? World Cup qualifiers?
If I am not wrong, it should be around mid of September. Official FIFA date, so I guess WC qualifier. Yeah, think your right, September or October World Cup qualifiers again - expect the usual Mongolia's and Macau's of this world to be our opponents - so hardly competitive. I think Asian Games and Olympic's qualifiers migth kick off around then aswell, so migth be more enticing watching them?

It looks like there is a friendly scheduled in September vs Air India. A further more in question vs Azerbaijan, looks like the FAT received an invitation from Berti Vogts Eleven.

Are they definitely playing Singapore on the 11th August? It's not listed in the fixtures on the FIFA site.

Thailand media (BKK Post) confirmed the game and then reports in Singapore reported it was cancelled. Would appear its not happening. Thailand wanted the game to celebrate the Queens Birthday.

Thailand to train in Chiang Mai or Phuket Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi wants the national side to train in Chiang Mai or Phuket to prepare for this month's World Cup qualifier.
Thailand are likely to meet Palestine in Asia's second qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup as the Palestinians secured a 2-0 away win against Afghanistan in the first leg.
Palestine are at home in the second leg today and newly-appointed Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer will be at the stadium.
Worawi said yesterday he wanted the national team to train in Chiang Mai or Phuket before their first-leg match against Palestine or Afghanistan on July 23 at I-Mobile stadium in Buri Ram.
The next day after the home leg, the national side will leave for the second leg, he said.
FAT secretary-general Ong-arj Kosinkha said that after checking records it was found that Teerathorn Boonmathan was suspended for the first leg.
Thailand were booted out of the Olympic qualifying round after they fielded a suspended player against Palestine who lost to the Thais on penalties after two legs.
Thai officials blamed the match commissioner for not informing them that the player was suspended.

Schaefer wants Singapore for World Cup warm-up Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer wants a warm-up match against Singapore in the national team's run-up to next month's World Cup qualifying matches.
Earlier reports said the German coach wanted his men to get a warm-up game against an opponent with tall players while Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi said he would contact Uzbekistan.
But at yesterday's meeting of the National Team Committee, Schaefer said he wanted a warm-up match against Singapore who have several European-born players.
Thailand travel to Australia on Sept 2 and host Oman on Sept 6 in the first two games of Group D in Asia's third qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup. The Thais will be at home against Saudi Arabia, the other side in the group, in October.
The top two teams from each of the five groups advance to the continent's final qualifying stage.
Schaefer said the match against Singapore should be held on either Aug 26 or 27.
He urged the FAT to postpone some Thai Premier League matches before a World Cup qualifier and the FAT heeded his call.
Schaefer reiterated that Thailand should not be afraid of any sides in the group although they are strong.
Worawi said Schaefer or his assistant will go to watch Australia's friendly match against Wales in Cardiff on Aug 10.
Because of the World Cup qualifiers, the 2011 TPL season, which began in March, will end in January.
The TPL schedule could become even more chaotic because of the SEA Games which will take place later this year in Indonesia.
Worawi said he would consult SEA Games team manager Kasem Jariyawatwong whether TPL matches should be postponed during the event.
The SEA Games football tournament is a U23 competition but several clubs have players in the squad such as Muang Thong United duo Kawin Thamasatchanan, Teerasil Dangda and Teerathorn Boonmathan of Buriram PEA .
