For Sisaket it look like the coach change, didn't tunred into results. It was anyway a nice game. Didn't saw that much time wasting. But yes, the kits from Sisaket are really *urrg* now.

I only saw the last 15 minutes but, during that time, three outfield players plus the goalkeeper all went down feigning injury. This was their only tactic when they played against Chonburi in the Queen's Cup.

Samut Songkhram didn't impress me the other week when I watched their match against BG on TV. We need to score early next Sunday or I expect they will use every trick in the book to waste time.

Sisaket weren't that bad last week but they do look shaky at the back. It looks like they're in for a long hard season. Oh, and they were 9,500 fans short of what they promised they'd bring. Wink

btw, while watching PU PEA match, I had the feeling that more than the half have been cheering PEA. Did Newin paid all the travel expenses?

Edit: yes he did. Everybody is getting 300 Baht if he travels with the Bus.

Surprise, surprise.

I found myself in the strange position of cheering on Pattaya yesterday. Pattaya may not be everyone's cup of tea but they are saintly when compared to ******* PEA. The latter are a festering boil on the arsehole of Thai football.

"******* PEA. The latter are a festering boil on the arsehole of Thai football."

It's not like you to sit on the fence, Vinnie. Why don't you tell us what you really think. Wink

At about 2:00pm yesterday Mrs Shark took a phone call from a friend. I heard her say, "I daren't even ask him!"

The person was calling to see if we fancied going to Nong Prue to watch the match. Needless to say, we didn't go and ended up watching the borefest that was Osotspa v TTM on the tele. Smiley

The only comfort is that although he can buy fans he hasn't managed to buy a particularly good team. Even though they came back, 3-3 was still a poor result against a Pattaya side which lost 3-0 at TTM last week. Especially as PEA are aiming for a top-four finish.

I suppose buying fans and hope you'll attract decent players does make a change from the usual philosophy - buy decent players and hope you'll attract the fans. Smiley

I'd say the shirt is way more offensive!  Cheesy

Pattaya fans protest against Athanse's red card; Army triumph
Quote
Unfancied TTM FC Phichit defeated Bangkok United 3-0 yesterday to go to the top of the Thai Premier League table as it begins to take some form of shape at the start of the season.

Kraikitti In-utain scored two goals and Kwanchai Phuangprakob added the other as visitors TTM secured a comfortable win at the Thai-Japan stadium.

Kraikitti opened the scoring in the first half injury time and hit his second after 82 minutes. Kraikitti turned provider when his pass found Kawanchai who completed the rout with five minutes to go.

TTM have 13 points from seven games. Chonburi FC, who have played three games less, have 12 points.

Bangkok Glass continued their inconsistent campaign yesterday when they were held 1-1 by Pattaya United.

Thailand midfielder Sutee Suksomkit scored the equaliser with five minutes to go after Pattaya had taken the lead through Novero Jerami just after half-time.

Hosts Pattaya dominated for long periods but Glass goalkeeper Kittisak Rawangpa was in good form.
Pattaya striker Takam Ludovick of Cameroon tormented the Rabbits' defence time after time but failed to find the net.
The Glass hit back in the closing stages of the first half when Bkombo Ekkolo's header went just wide.

Shortly after the restart, Jerami stunned the Rabbits as Kittisak allowed the ball to go through his legs.

Pattaya midfielder Ouattara Athanse went sent off for kicking a Glass player in the 59th minute.

However, the Glass had to wait until 85th minute to find the target and returned home with a point.

After the match, angry Pattaya fans gathered outside the match officials' dressing room as they thought Athanse had been wrongly  sent off. They dispersed after team officials urged them to stay calm.

At Saraburi stadium, Army climbed out of the red zone with a shock 1-0 win over hosts Osotspa M-150.

Thittinun Ditcharoen scored the winner after 11 minutes after Osotspa goalkeeper failed to hold a shot.

It was Army's first win of the season.

They did the same thing after a match last season. When is this club going to start receiving punishments that fit their crimes? Last week's 5,000 baht fine (equivalent to about ten replica shirts!) for missile throwing was a joke.

Just watched the scene. I dont know whether Athanse was booked before. Than to me it would be ok. Cause for me it was a tactical foul, and that is yellow. And if I do have yellow already, I need to know that I have to be careful. If it was a straight sent off, than it was too harsh in my eyes.

We've all been on the receiving end of bad decisions but haven't felt the need to confront the referee after the match. I wasn't aware that there had been an incident last week but this kind of thing does seem to happen a lot when P*ttaya U*d are involved, yet they seem to get off quite lightly. Hopefully this time they'll get a punishment that fits the accumalted crimes.

Muang Thong held 0-0
Quote
Reigning champions Muang Thong United were held to a scoreless draw by Buriram PEA in the Thai Premier League yesterday.
With the stalemate at Yamaha stadium, Muang Thong failed to overtake leaders Chonburi FC. They both have 13 points but Chonburi have a better goal difference and a match in hand.
Led by Thailand strikers Teerasil Dangda and Teerathep Winothai, Muang Thong dominated for long periods but could not break Buriram's tight defence with goalkeeper Sivaluk Therdsungnern in fine form.
Soumahoro Yaya saw his shot cleared off the line late in the first half, and Datsakorn Thonglao's free kick went just wide.
Five minutes after the interval, Brazilian Anderson dos Santos almost shocked the home team when his free kick was cleared on the line by Piyachart Thamaphan.
However, Anderson was sent off in injury time when he received his second yellow card for kicking Yaya.
At PAT stadium, Thai Port secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Navy Rayong.
Worawut Wangsawad (25), Sompong Sorleb (50) and Jirawat Makkarom (68) were on target for the hosts.
It was Thai Port's first game of the season at their own stadium after they had been banned from playing at home for their fans' attack on Muang Thong supporters in the King's Trophy match earlier this year.

Chonburi lead the way in the Thai Premier League after beating TOT - CAT
Quote

Chonburi FC moved three points clear at the top of the Thai Premier League yesterday after an impressive 2-0 win at TOT-CAT .

First-half goals from striker Pipob On-mo and in-form veteran midfielder Therdsak Chaiman gave the Sharks all three points.

In a relatively one-sided match, Chonburi forward Arthit Sunthornphit tested TOT-CAT goal-keeper Samuel Por Cunningham who was forced to save a free-kick after just seven minutes.

Following a couple of good saves, Samuel turned villain when his pass was intercepted by Pipob who sent the ball into the back of the net.

Later, Arthit's pass found Jules Baga whose shot was blcoked by Marian Juhaas.

Pipob got another good chance but his shot was stopped by Samuel.

Chonburi's second goal came in the first-half injury time. Ekaphan Inthasen dribbled past two TOT-CAT players before feeding Therdsak who scored.

Chonburi piled pressure in the second half but failed to break the hosts' defence.

Bangkok Glass' unconvincing run continued when they could only manage a 0-0 draw at home to Osotspa M-150 .

Buri Ram PEA put on an impressive performance with a 3-1 victory over the Royal Thai Army .

A big crowd packed the I-Mobile stadium and they were not disappointed. Buri Ram got off to a flying start with a goal from Rangsan Vivatchaichoke in the second minute and Rangsan was on target five minutes later to make it 2-0.

The Army pulled one back in the 37th minute with a penalty by Jakkrapong Somboon, but Buri Ram made it 3-1 in the 58th minute through Kanueng Buransuk.

Si Sa Ket remain bottom of the league despite scoring a late equaliser against visitors SCG Samut Songkhram.

Samut Songkhram had opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Panuwat Yimsa-ngar and looked like they would take all three points until a late strike from Gilson Dias saved the Koupreys. Sia Sa Ket remain bottom on three points while Samut Songkhram moved into second spot on 14 points.

At Rayong stadium, Navy Rayong earned their third victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Insee Police United. Somjet Sattabut scored the only goal in the 40th minute.

At the Thai-Japan stadium, Bangkok United continued their poor form when they lost 1-0 to Pattaya United, with Frenchman Alain Jeremy scoring the vital goal in the 19th minute .

After what I understand they will have a meeting today to decide which games to postpone, if not all, and to what date(s) to move them.
I think Chonburi have 7 players in the Thailand squad and Muangthong 6, so those games will be postponed for sure. I will be surprised if the games for teams who looses players to the national team will go ahead, but this is Thailand, anything can happen.

So, 'Mr Thailand', 'Mr I-Love-the-King-More-Than-the-Other-Crooked-Politician' won't let his best players represent their country.
Funny, I never had him down as a hypocrite! [b/] :Smiley

Well he is a politician :-)

Thai Port should refuse to play the fixture. I wonder how the players feel at being denied the chance to play the World Cup hosts.

Surprise, surprise, Osotspa-Saraburi are planning to leave Saraburi. (www.thaileaguefootball.com) I noticed crowds were way down this season compared to when they moved there at the end of last season. I'd like to congratulate the people of Saraburi for throwing their weight behind their real local club - Saraburi F.C - instead of this silly outfit.
TTM Pichit will be next. Pichit F.C get bigger crowds than their TPL invader.

Pichit FC and Saraburi FC are doing well in div 2, it seems right that they claim their town.
Osotspa should really think about moving to Ramkamhaeng University stadium, the stadium holds about 10 000 and is 1km from Osotspa headquaters.

And the FAT should really think about banning this silly practice that certain clubs - Osotspa, TTM, PEA, TOT - have of moving around the country.
Will people in Saraburi who have bought 2010 merchandise - replica shirts etc - be able to get a refund?

"Will people in Saraburi who have bought 2010 merchandise - replica shirts etc - be able to get a refund?"

Probably not but their rarity value might mean that they'll be able to make a killing on e-bay in a few years time. Wink

Seriously, I agree with you. This needs to be stopped if they want the league to have any credibility. I must have visited more grounds in 5 years in a 16 team league than I did in 30+ years in a 92 team league. Smiley

Dr Vichit made disapproving noises about the situation when TTM and PEA moved in the close season but not sure how much he can do about it.

I cant believe that the Navy for example have now played 9 games and have only 9 points, yet they are sitting 10th in the league!!

They have a poor points total, yet other teams are just as bad! And for poor old Sisaket, well, they simply shouldn't have spoke before the start of the season.
