Possibly the best match in that time frame could be Customs v Chiang Rai scheduled for 23rd at Latkrabang.

Is that the "big" stadium next to the highway just after the exit to Suvarnabhumi airport? (I`m using Google Earth)

It's close to it.

So who are playing at the one I talk about? It looks like a good stadium from "above", but it`s far from the stand to the pitch. Both running tracks and an area with grass between the pitch and the stand.

That's the one. It's where Bkk Bank used to play.

Sorry SRS, I never like to correct you. Wink But customs isn't playing that stadium. From the Highway you even are able to see the stadium Name. The stadium Svein is talking about is the KTML Stadium and is now used by Thai Honda or was during the first half of the season.

Here is a pic from the highway.

...and thats the Customs Stadium.

Thai Airways used to play in the KTML Stadium a few years ago as well.

In addition those mentioned above: (Thai League Online is my friend Smiley)

Division 1
Weds 20th 4pm RBAC v Chula (Ratanabundit Uni)

Sat 23rd  (all 1630)
Chula v Jantaburi (Chula U)
RBAC v PTT (Ratanabunbit U)
Thai Honda v Songkla (Chalermprakiat 72 years Minburi)
Nakhon Pathom v Prajinburi (Kasetsart U, Kampeangsan)

Division 2 Champions League
Sun 17th 1600
Bangkok FC v Chai Nat (Chalermprakiart Bang Mod)
Samut Prakan v Phuket (Customs Samut Prakan)

I know Samut Prakan and Nakon Patom aren't technically BKK, but they're close enough, and I must point out (in my defence of course, and not for laughs) that t_e mentioned the Raj game despite his and Vinnie's long running battle Wink.

Perhaps he read the report on BBC that referred to Nontaburi as a 'Bangkok suburb' when covering last night's bomb blast.

Thanks for your help everyone.

The PTT Tennis Open at Muang Thong Thani is being advertised on TV as being in Bangkok.

The stadium I talk about do not have those buildings near by, so this is not the stadium close to the highway/airport exit.

Purely for convenience. If it said "Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi" people would wonder where it was, how to get there, etc. By saying 'Bangkok' it sends out the message that you can get there by Taxi from the airport, Sukhumvit, etc.

Is that it? Please tell me there is a main stand out of shot to the left of this picture.

While on the subject of stadia, I passed by TOT's stadium on the way to immigration this morning. It looks like a nice little ground for a 1st or 2nd division side. It's definitely not big enough for the TPL though. The grass on the pitch looked like it hadn't been cut for 3 months so the stadium most likely isn't being used for any other activities at this moment in time.

Interesting news for fans of any of the top 3 teams  on the all new muangthongunitedfc.blogspot.com twitter feed:

http://twitter.com/MTUTD_blog

Well I have to promote it somehow :-)

Is that true? If so, what a pile of crap. Clubs are now dictating when fixtures are played in order to drum up some sort of interest?

This season has seen things hit an all time low. It's becoming even more of a farce.

Any more on this? Have the fixtures been switched?

Yes, I just looked at the table and they are six points behind with two games to go and no way back unless BKU have the H2H advantage over Navy, which I doubt.
Sorry Svein, I'd rather BKU stayed up than Navy. If Raj stay up then I'll see you at the game next season.

They are also 6 behind TTM but cannot take them on H2H.
They have 2 draws with Navy, so it would come down to GD which they are 8 worse off.
So unfortunately for them, it's all over.

We are loosing head-to-head to both Rayong and TTM, so we are down unless they change the rules. Newin, please tell someone to change the rules.

Hoping Bangok FC and Phuket wins promotion to Division 1. Will be good to have a footballweekend in Phuket next season.

Yes, unless an away goal H2H mean something?

The goal difference is 8 goals, but because Rayong have scored a lot (7) more, we are 9 goals behind, in addition to those 6 points.

H2H has always been the favorite way for Thai football, unless they changed it this year becuase of last years kind of *rude word* up.

A few points to make. Wikipedia is basically a template taken for other leagues. I wouldn't quite believe the rules for classification at the bottom. Also, H2H in a weird way, doesn't actually kick in until all games have been played, becuase simply, a computer is just adding up the tallys and putting teams where it thinks it should, nothing happens until someone manually edits the table for h2h to kick in, it's kind of someone behind a system thinking whats the poitn using h2h real life tables when they change week after week anyway as they aren't conclusive until the season's end.

I think it's all over for the bottom 3 unless something spectacular happens.

PEA Buriram will no doubt be out to get the revenge on the Army for the FA Cup game and will hope to officially relegate them on Wednesday when they meet.

@ Drue, it's not true. Depending on the SW you are going to use, you are able to implement H2H. That is really not a problem nowadays. And if TLO is able to spend about 200.000 Euro for a new livescore system, they probably should be able to have the money, for buying a decent SW considering H2H. Not to mention TPL itself.

Yes, that may be true Loko, but TLO aren't running the Thai game, the TPL are, and if they don't implement it, then no one else can really follow and start amending there own tables to suit (even if they are true!).

What i'm trying to say, is that throughout Thai football history, no matter what league your in, the H2H rule never happens until the season has finished, otherwise, it's like someone has to track the whole system starting from week 16 to make sure h2h results are correct, even when they might not be needed at week 30. It does just seem the lazy way, of hoping that h2h isn't needed, so don't implement it until the very end.

As for the BU supporters, not sure why they suddenly feel h2h isn't relevant, maybe just hope more than anything. H2H was used in RL, can Thai football really use different systems for different leagues?

It do not matter to us vs Rayong, unless the away goal count for something in the 2 draws, but Army and Sisaket can end up on 29 points as well, and we loose H2H vs both of them.

We have to win our 2 last games (both at home vs TOT and SS) by a few goals, and Rayong has to loose both of their games (BG at home and Army away).

If Army is not relegated before the last game, we probably are, because Army play Rayong in the last game and we can not beat both of them on goal difference (or H2H), unless we win by 9 goals more than Army in their last games. We also need to better 9 goals vs Rayong, but they get at least 2 goals worse off than now if they loose, so we may need "only" 7 or less.

It has been looking like we`re going down for a long time now, but still it`s a possibility to stay up, with only 2 more games to play. We got 11 points in the first half of the season, and we have 12 so far in the second. I`m sure we beat TOT next weekend, so if Bangkok Glass can beat Rayong it won`t be decided before the last game, unless Army beat both Buriram and Thai Port.

BU-supporters now say they don`t use H2H this season, but goal difference.
Wikipedia also says goal difference.

And yes the point is that the official TPL site don't care about H2H, and using GD.

The Rule book is there for DL. But it is all in Thai. So no chance for me.

OK it's optimistic but I guess it's within the realms of possibility that BG will stick three or four past Rayong and TOT are a poor side. If you win that 3-0 then there could be everything to play for.
Like I said, optimistic but not impossible.

Yeah, but when are BG going to Singapore again?  I`ll guess that`s their priority now. I don`t know if they care about beeing number 4 or 5 in the league.

Sinagpore is not until the end of the month, but I would image we will rest our better players for the League cup 2nd leg v Chonburi 4 days later.

Rayong knocked us out of the FA cup on their ground earlier in the season....

On the other hand we beat them 5-0 at the Leo.

Muang Thong get one hand on TPL trophy
Quote

Muang Thong’s Teerasil Dangda tries to time his run right against BEC Tero Sasana yesterday.

Muang Thong United moved closer to retaining the Thai Premier League title after winning 1-0 at BEC Tero Sasana yesterday.

Dagno Sika scored the winner for the Kirins after 58 minutes at Thephatsdin stadium.

With three matches left, Muang Thong have 62 points, seven more than second-placed Chonburi FC. Muang Thong also have a better head-to-head record against the Sharks if they finish level on points.

In yesterday's other match, Thai Port were held to a 1-1 home draw by TTM Phichit.

Sompong Sorleb gave Thai Port the lead after 62 minutes and Valci Junior equalised for the visitors in the 80th minute.

A pretty routine win for Chonburi sets us up nicely for Sunday.

Tonight's results:
Osotspa 4-1 Bangkok Glass
Army 0-2 PEA
Chonburi 2-0 TOT

Army is now relegated.

And I do not think Bangkok United will get any help from Bangkok Glass on sunday.

Chonburi and Buriram cling to title hopes
Quote
Chonburi FC and Buriram PEA both won yesterday to keep alive their slim hopes of claiming the Thai Premier League title.

Chonburi secured a comfortable 2-0 win over TOT-CAT, while Buriram handed Army a quick return to Division One with the same scoreline.

Chonburi have 58 points from 28 matches and Buriram have 56 points from 27 matches. Leaders Muang Thong United have 62 points from 27 matches.

At Chonburi, Pipob On-mo scored both goals for the Sharks in the 21st and 60th minute.

At Army stadium, Brazilian Douglas Gardozo also scored twice for the Thunder Castle after 40 and 84 minutes.

Promoted Army have 22 points with two games left. They are relegated as they cannot catch fourth-bottom Navy Rayong who have 29 points.

In yesterday's other match, Osotspa M-150 Saraburi hammered nine-man Bangkok Glass 4-1.

Clinton Silva tormented Glass throughout the match, scoring two goals and winning two penalties.

Glass' Silla Moussa and goalkeeper Krissana Klunklin were sent off in the second half.

If MTU win tonight , all hopes of Chonburi are bubbles .
