With all the negativity around Thai Football (and football in general) these days, I thought we should have a lighter side of football thread to cheer us up.

So post any funny videos, photos or stories here:

I'm going to start with this that has been around for a couple of years, but it was on Ch3 this morning and still made me laugh.

Complete with 'Amazing Thailand' advert. 2 comedy videos in 1 Wink Nice work Greg.  Cheesy

I wish more managers/players/pundits were like him, instead of the inane clichéd drivel they usually come out with.

Love this. It reminds me so much of my time in Asia. First, the give the Cup to Qatar, then realise they might have to move the WC to January. You can almost see Holloway busting to say something like "Why didn't the think of this before they made the decision?" After all, hint #1 was the moving of the Asian Cup from June to January when hosted by the same country.

Personally, I think Holloway's looking at it the wrong way though. FIFA want to promote football as 'The World Game', which means they can't take a Euro-centric view all the time. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the voting process, it is inevitable that the Cup will be hosted in 'inconvenient' places in the future. It has been pointed out that many Euro leagues have a winter break about December - January anyway, so surely only minor tweaking is required. Other countries have 12 years to plan accordingly. The argument that it might means that EPL players (for example) will have a minimal off-season doesn't work, as this is already the case with the Cup in June. In fact, one might argue that the European-based players will arrive at the WC fitter and fresher mid-season than after a full season ending in May.

But wasn't there talk of building air-con stadiums? What happened to that?  The WC has been hosted in Mexico, USA, Japan and SA before and we've never had a problem like this.

Loads of old Thai crests on here http://www.liblib.cn/afc/Thailand.htm The most recent ones look like they're from 2008, but keep scrolling down to the older ones.

Really like the old Phitsanulok one. As for Chantaburi's effort!

Nonthaburi Bull is a new one on me (bon-nirnam referred to an old Nonthaburi side recently). They never played in the Pro League as far as I'm aware.

It's actually Chantaburi Bull and they were using that badge in 2004/05.

You can see some squad photos from the same seasons those badges were being worn here
http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/photo_gallery.pl?album=46149

BEC Tero 2003 - 2
Korat Stingray 2004 - 6
Nakorn Pathom Hunter 2004 - 15
Sisaket Steel Rock 2004 - 37
TTM 2005 - 41

And here's the infamous Code Red badge.
http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/photo_gallery.pl?album=43772

I've got a lot more. I'll try and scan and post them when I get the chance.

He also said in order to do so, Liverpool need to find the net more frequently and will be using this January transfer window to try and sign Gary Lineker.

Watching the Asian Cup, the commentators mentioned that Japan's Keisuke Honda had been linked with Liverpool. They followed this up by saying he had expressed a desire to play in the Premier League. Wink

My new favourite youtube video, even if they are Spurs fans.

Originally done for Valentine's Day, but you could probably use this for next time matchday clashes with a birthday or anniversary, etc.

If Aston Villa sign Robbie Keane, Gary Glitter will buy a season ticket for Villa Park as he heard that the strike force will be Young, Bent and Keane.
