They don't seem to have their own thread so I thought I'd start one.

After my experiences yesterday, I would really like them to stay up. We had a great time. They have fantastic fans, friendly security staff and helpful and funny staff. In short - the anti-PEA. Smiley

Good luck for the rest of the season. And, if none of you have visited yet, try to go. You won't be disapppointed. Smiley

Haven't gone yet, but plan to, and I was very impressed with them & especially their fans when they come to our place.

But take an umbrella. It was bloomin' hot and there's no shade!

I agree with Dale. Had a very good time there and I am really sad that we didn't stayed for one night there. Hope they can do it ...

We left our house at 6:10am on Saturday and walked back through the front door at 6:30am on Sunday.

Big 3-0 win today over TTM Phichit.
Now just a point from safety, and a 5 point cushion over Bangkok Utd

Maybe there will be two Isaan clubs in the TPL next season after all.

Hopefully they can stay up and play alongside Khon Kaen and PEA. If this happens, we could actually start to see the league spread it's wings and continue to progress in a positive direction.

What we could do with seeing, is that the Army and TOT go down, which might just get these clubs thinking.

As much as I'd like Sisaket to stay up, I don't think that they can claim three points for winning a cup tie. Wink

Yep, I'd very much like them to stay up too. I'm setting off on the long trip tonight to watch them play BG on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it, their fans were great fun when they came to the LEO.

I've got a feeling they might beat us. Not that I want us to lose, but if we are going to then out of all the teams in the TPL, Sisaket would be my happiest loss.

Enjoy the trip BGB. But don't forget to take your umbrella. The away end is exposed to the elements.

Well, I can echo everything Dale has said for any one else who makes the trip to Sisaket.

It's a great place full of great people. A really nice club. The stadium is pretty good too. 4 sided despite being a 'multi-purpose' stadium, if it wasn't for the running track, it would have an awesome atmosphere.

I would love to see them stay up also, but they will have to do better than against BG. BG never really got out of 2nd gear, could have had a lot more and the BG starting 11 was a quiet experimental.

Anyway, hopefully it was an off day for them (other results didn't go their way either) and they can finish strongly.

Saw various photos of your trip to Sisaket. Looks like a fun weekend and thankfully a 2-1 win to make the journey all the more worthwhile.

Was that the first time the Sisaket cheerleaders have worn horns on their heads? I'm sure most of my students would say that they looked more like buffalo than bulls, which is not particularly flattering ...  >Cheesy

I'm guessing the idea was copied from the rabbit ears, but is somewhat less cute!

Ok, they won the LEAGUE match 4-0 today. Still 4 points behing Navy, with a game in hand at home to Buriram. PEA have only lost 2 matches all season, to the bottom 2 TPL clubs. Hopefully, 3rd to bottom Si Saket can add their name to that list, then perform a great escape on the last day of the season.

And one of them was in the FA Cup. Hopefully we'll beat Sisaket in the TLC and get the chance for revenge.

BOREY SIGNS FOR TPL SIDE SISAKET FC
Quote
PHNOM PENH (4 Feb 2011) - Khim Borey has signed to play for Thai Premier League (TPL) side Sisaket Muangthai FC on a one-year loan deal.

This was confirmed by his former club Phnom Penh Crown.

“I’m so happy to play in Thailand,” said the highly rated 21-year-old from Takeo after putting pen to paper at the club’s home base in northeast Thailand.

“It’s always been my goal to play abroad – to experience other cultures and countries. It’s a dream come true for me.”

Borey leaves Metfone Cambodian League champions Crown without having to play a single competitive game since his arrival in the close season.

A domestic ban put paid to his involvement in the ongoing 2011 Samdech Hun Sen Cup which meant that Borey only played three friendly matches in Phnom Penh colours.

During his four-year stint with National Defence Ministry FC, Borey won the Golden Boots award in 2008 with 18 goals as his team finished runners-up.

Last year, he captained the Army team to the Hun Sen Cup crown.

Borey made his international debut against Syria in the 2007 Nehru Cup, having made rapid progress from the national youth team, through to the Under-23 team and then to the full senior squad.

In 2008, he scored five goals in eleven appearances for Camodia  before registering a hat-trick against Timor Leste at the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers held in Vientiane last October.

It was these recent performances that caught the eye of Sisaket Muangthai’s English coach David Booth, who was coaching Laos at the time.

Borey is the first Cambodian to sign for a Thai Premier League team while several others had earlier joined Thai Division One sides.

Newly appointed Crown coach Bojan Hodak gave his blessing to the loan deal.

“It’s disappointing to lose a player of Khim Borey’s quality but it’s a fantastic opportunity for him to play abroad and improve technically. We wouldn’t stand in his way at this point in his career,”  said Bojan.
