Puritat's first game was in South Africa.
Suree was injured and couldn't make the trip to face the World Cup hosts.
Overall, that looks a decent squad.

Any reason why the once big hope of Kiatprawut Saiwaeo hasn't made an impression in recent years? Surprised high flyers PEA don't have any more players in the team.

Kiatprawut has had a miserable time since returning from M*n C*ty. He's been out injured for months on end, only playing the odd game here and there. However, he's virtually fully fit again now and banging on the door of the first team. As for PEA, I think withdrawing players at late notice from previous squads may not have gone down too well with the Thailand management. Just a theory.

last squad was an absolute joke haha with 8? players withdrawn from the original squad. the current squad looks pretty good with a lot of players getting recalled.
Suchao, Sarayoot, Pipat Thonkanya and Teerasil getting recalled is a good move, hopefully Kawin will start after an impressive performance against Athletico Madrid.

I think that Kawin and Kosin will play one half each. I am not sure about Pipat. He may is still tired. Probably he hasn't seen a break from football for ages.

Having watched Sarayoot Chaikamdee a couple of times for Thai Port recently and not been overly impressed, I thought he had a decent game tonight. As well as scoring a well taken goal, he linked up well with those around him and chased back more on a number of occasions in the second half. Worth his place in the Thai team on tonight's showing.
The match itself wasn't great and the crowd was a bit disappointing. I know it was only a friendly, but the Thai F.A. won't play many matches up in Muangthong in the future if crowd figures don't increase. That said, I think the Thai F.A. should have kept the prices the same as those charged for Thai Premier League games and they might have gotten a crowd of 6-7,000 instead of 2-3,000. Credit to those who did turn up and made some noise, especially those behind the goal.

I don't think the early start helped either. It would have made more sense to have a 7:30pm or 8:00pm kick off.

Sarayoot Chaikamdee scored on his comeback. Where was he for Asian Cup qualifiers!!
Have been having registration issues with the forum, so this question is a bit late - is there a rumour/reason why the likes of Sarayoot Chaikamdee and Anon Sangsranoi haven't been in the team much in the last year or so. Maybe they don't fit the system that Reid/Robson play, but I couldn't believe Robson could keep a straight face when he bemoaned a lack of goals after the Iran game that put Thailand out of the Asian Cup. Anon played 3 minutes of the campaign, and got half an hour in the King's Cup. Yet, he's been the top scorer in the TPL for the last 2 seasons and was leading this season until a week or two ago (Still top Thai though). Sarayoot had a decent 2009 season from memory too. I could understand if there were players from better leagues keeping them out, but they're being passed over for TPL players who are scoring fewer goals against the same opposition. Can anyone explain?

Can anyone explain? Sorry for the late response to this question. I just didn't see it! No surprise that Anon has not been included again. This goes all the way back to Peter Reid. Reid did include him for his first set of squads which was a tournament in Vietnam but dropped him before the first game. He went on record to state because Anon is lazy in training. Maybe this is the outstanding issue with the lad? But, he scores goals. And everyone has questioned why he's never included. Only Robson can tell us why. Maybe one day he will write another book and dedicate a chapter to Anon. Now, looking at the squad picked for the India games, I think it's fair to say Anon cna book his holidays during the AFF Cup

Wasn't sure where to put this.
Does anyone know/remember a player called Kosin Deemak (yes, that is his real surname)? He's the new Surin coach and their press release describes him as a former national team player. All a google search turned up was that he played for Bangkok Christian College for a few years. I can't find any evidence that he played for the national team.

Sorry Vinnie, I couldn't find it again. Looks like it is always the same if stumble over a thing and don't take it important. To find it again, is a mess.
