As per above, Samut Songkram v Thai Port was abandoned at halftime due to heavy rain. Match officials judged conditions were too dangerous to continue. The match will be replayed on October 28th, with the 2nd leg at PAT Stadium on October 31st.

Interesting point made by the commentator during the Port v Pla Tu game. He said that several of the overseas players were due to return home on Sunday so would miss the second leg. How will this impact teams a) for the league cup b) for the relegation play offs. At Pattaya we're used to playing with only one or two foreigners as ours were nearly all crippled but it will be interesting to see who fares best or more likely who is quickest to come to a deal with their overseas contingent.

At what point does it get so obvious it becomes a shambles? Going through the report on Thai League Online, here is a quick summary of the incidents in the match: 4 mins: 1-0 (Goal: Suriya Domtaisong) 45+2mins: 2-0 (Suriya again) 47 mins: 3-0 (Douglas Cardozo) 52 mins: Floodlight Failure at I-Mobile Stadium. 10 minute delay. 63 mins: Athit Daosawang (TOT) is sent off after receiving a second yellow card 69 mins: 4-0 (Suriya gets his hat-trick) 71 mins: Having already made 3 substitutions, TOT are reduced to 9 men when defender Kanchit Chonratanomreut goes off injured. 74 mins: 5-0 (Suchao Nootnoom hits the post, and the ball goes in off the keeper) 77 mins: 6-0 (Cardozo's second) 81 mins: TOT down to 8 men. Teerachai Ngamjaroen goes off injured. 89 mins: TOT substitute Atorn Sai-ngam receives a red card (for dissent I think). TOT now 7 men. 89 mins: 7-0 (own goal: Chusak Suwanna) 91 mins: Injury to Wichan Nantasri. TOT reduced to 6 men, and disqualified. The TLO article doesn't specify that the game was called off 10 minutes early, just that the match didn't reach the 90 minute mark. Tor Chittinand wrote in the Bangkok Post that the match finished 10 minutes early. If this is the case, then I can only assume that TLO didn't stop their clock when the lights went out, and they would have had fulltime at 100 minutes. |

As per usual in Thailand, speaking politely & smiling a lot helps. If they're letting some folks in, it might work, especially if you're foreign. On the other hand, if they're taking a hard-line, you might be out of luck. |

On paper it was a massive upset but in reality it was against a Muang Thong 2nd XI. When is the final for the League Cup scheduled? I thought that might be the case, but I'd still expect a club like MTU to have a 2nd XI capable of defeating a relegated side like Si Saket. I think the Final is scheduled for the weekend of 21-22 November, the week before the FA Cup. |

I might be tempted to get to Dhupatemi if there's a reduced amount of competition on the RG front Unfortunately for you Mr. Wolf, it does Besides, BG are reluctant to take the RG anywhere where there might even be a hint of danger, hence why they have never been to Rayong or the PAT in the past. BG have posted on the web board and urged all fans NOT to go for fear of any more punishments. They will show the game on the big screen at the LEO. I wont be attending either the Dhupatemi or the Leo and I might stay away from the semis too if we make it. I just can't be bothered with all the crap surrounding BG/TP at the moment. |

Will this mean fixture adjustment? The first leg v Buriram was listed as Sunday at I-Mobile, but the policy thus far has been lower-ranked sides play at home first.
To answer my own question, yes. According to TLO, the 1st leg is now on Sunday at 1530 in Si Saket, and the 2nd on Wednesday at I-Mobile. Which would mean for the first time this season, Buriram F.C and Buriram PEA will be playing on the same day. So which game is going to be moved? It's usually BFC's games that get bumped around so that he can watch both his teams but I can't see Chiang Mai (where he's not the most popular person in the world and where they are expecting a capacity crowd) acquiescing to any demands to change the date this late in the day. Surprise surprise!! The Sisaket v PEA game has been moved back 24 hours to Monday. Also the 2nd leg has been postponed for 24 hours as well. |
