yeah, good news. Hope it's run well. Not sure if they have imports, but I guess not as it's a league to help young talent develop.

i think this is a good move - next step that i would like to see is FAT introducing a rule that makes all clubsides name at least 2 or 3  age related players in the matchday squad, if they dont, then whats the point of this age related reserve league?

FAT should also allow foriegn players to play in this league with an interest of nautralising the very best for the national team setup

That is correct.
It is required by afc as part of Champion League qualification.
As for Charade's question why don't we get start any sooner, we are struggling just to field TPL alone. There are certain requirement with finacial string attached namely certain number of players must professional contract player(s). I believe the idea is that the club can move players up and down between TPL and Reverve much like in EPL.

Personally, I think one of those things FAT is paying for their late start in launching TPL.
It will take some time to really be able to deliver something of substance as TPL itself are, I believe, still featured numbers of youth who should have been in the reserve squads and focus on their development.

We also have D1 and D2 with players not neccessary stay in those division base on their playing abilities but other social factors. Having said all this, it is a good step forward, nonetheless.

So far as I am aware of, nobody. :-) It was just that the reserves used to play before or after the TPL teams the same day. But there will be a new real league competition introduced soon. With prize money and a trophy. The league system will be made of several regional divisions, like in the RL.

Chonburi U19s start their campaign tomorrow with a trip to Thammasart to play the Police. The following week (on the same day as our party - surely they'll put it back 24 hours?) we're scheduled to meet Bang Phra at home.

I've started a new page dedicated to the TPL Youth Cup. I'll add all the fixtures and results, not just Chonburi's.

Here's the link

If anybody has any extra information, or knows where I've made a mistake, please just drop me a line. Thanks.

Charade, we have been fortunate enough to have main teams in the league behaving like real football team and even that came after receiving altimatum from AFC, too. Further expressing my opinion of why would be like beating a dead horse. So, I will leave it at that. Reserve teams from what I understand by going through AFC/ACL rules and regulation, however, would eventually be a mandatory with professional contract properly signed. That and in house academy as well, said the rules with specific timelines for practical purpose. But question I do have with current 10 reserve teams is that do they have their results posted somewhere and do media ever cover their considering some eye cathing prospects must amongst some of these players. Is it too early to expect such thing from Thai Sport Media?

U22's sounds like undesirable adults, why don't they just call them Reserves? Also, I thoughts Meung Thong youth team consisting of highly regarded JMG products, what happen to that?
