This was an incredible occasion, and one that I was lucky enough to be a part of.

Let's hope that there are many more days like this in the future.

This is the best/worst shirt. I bought this at my first Thailand game (v South Korea) in March, 1997.

I like it a lot. Is the brand Grand Sport? Maybe they still have a few lying about in a storeroom.

Yes. It is Grand Sport. I guess that it's fairly unique. I can't think of any other football shirt that has had a map as its central motif.

And here's the shirt that I bought at the Asian Games match, also against S. Korea, in December , 1998.

If the South Korea match is Thailand's finest hour, then the match in 1998 against Indonesia (neither team wanted to win) has be the strangest hour in Thai football history:

Walking off the field in 2007 against Singapore has to be one of the low points (even if the refs decision was poor).

One thing you can never accuse Thai National team players of is lacking  fight Wink:

....Speaking of fights, this match between Osotspa and BEC Tero from 2007 gets a bit heated! How did the Thai FA react to the incident?

I bought a beach towel in Hua Hin that looks very similar to that shirt Cheesy.

I remember the Indonesia match very well, (un)fortunately) I wasn't there However, I was at the game against Qatar which was abandoned after a mass brawl. This match was a warm up for the Asian Games. I have a sneaking suspicion that it could have been the first match to have been played at Rajamangala. If not, it was certainly one of the first.

This a link to the report and pictures from the BKK Post (www.bangkokpost.com) the day after. It doesn't include the line ups but I'm sure that you'll be able to piece together a decent article from reading this.

I've just seen the date. Crikey, it's hard to believe that it was 11 years ago. It seems like yesterday!!

Thanks Shark. I wrote an email to the Korean FA yesterday. Unfortunately my email was rejected cause their mailbox is full!! I guess with a lot of spam. Sad
