ENGLAND OFFERED THAILAND FRIENDLYClaims that England have already agreed to play Thailand in June next year have been played down. Reports in the Thai press had said a fixture was confirmed. But Worawi Makudi, the president of the Thai FA and a FIFA executive committee member, said he had invited England to play Thailand as part of the birthday celebrations of the country's king and the Football Association have yet to respond to the invitation. Worawi said: "I have invited the England national team to come to Thailand next year - it would be a great honour and a great match for the fans. "It is up to the FA now to see whether they can accept this invitation." England already have a Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on June 4 next year so travelling to Thailand afterwards for a friendly would be problematical. As one of the 24 men on FIFA's executive committee Worawi is a key figure for England in terms of their bid for the 2018 World Cup, and bid leaders have met him on a number of occasions. He is a keen follower of English football and will be in London to watch the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Portsmouth next month. This is next week, what kind of professional-serious friendly this should be for Thailand if you (players and staff) have nearly no time to prepare and everybody is focused on AFC Cup and TPL? I can't really imagine that Thailand will go their with the full squad. Maybe it will be more a U23 Asian Game squad. |

Why South Africa didn't choose some Asian teams who are stronger than Thailand , such as Iran , China , Saudi Arabia ... to warm up ?  Moreover , there are no any Asian team in the host's groupstage ( Group A : France , Mexico , Uruguay and South Africa ) . |

Tickets for the Liverpool game were 600-3000 baht but I think it was the promotional company who set those prices, not the FAT.
You would like to think that the FAT would not want to alienate Thais from the match and will price accordingly. However, they may just see it as a cash cow and try and earn as much as they can from the fixture. A Korat fan predicted 2,000 baht for the cheapest ticket but I really don't think the FAT will go down that route. Time will tell.

If they happen to come the Thailand as the World Champ, Vinnie will have to stay home an watch in on the tube as security force will be sent out to intercept people form outside Bangkok area to prevent potential overcrowded stadium.
about 30 years ago I paid 600 baht to see Helen Ready performance at Thai-Japanese Auditorium adjacent to the football stadium. 600-3000 baht for this match would probably be a reasonable range.

If Iam not wrong, Darby is leading the team as coach. Robson is not with the team. The whole trip took them about 24 hours, with changing the plane in HK. The stadium is expected to be sold out. KO now 15:00 local, 20:00 thai time.

I've known it before when watching some matches in Confederation Cup last year ! It sounds like " the sound of bluebottles " . Thais undone by World Cup hosts 
Goalkeeper Kawin Thamsatchanan was unable to repeat the impressive form he showed in the AFC Cup as Muangthong United edged hot favourites Al Rayyan in Qatar to book a place in the quarter-finals and was beaten three times in a 13-minute spell as Bafana Bafana cruised to a comfortable 3-0 lead at the interval.
Kaizer Chiefs’ midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before a quick-fire double from Katlego Mphela made it 3-0, with the Mamelodi Sundowns’ striker scoring on the half-hour mark and again three minutes later.
