Chonburi and Bang Phra shirts are selling for B430. SriRacha shirts cost B400. I will be able to buy these shirts for you this weekend if want them.

Most other clubs shirts cost between B400 and B800. If you want one of these you will have to wait until we play away against these clubs or until I can get to the Grand Sport or FBT shop near the National Stadium.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I will be travelling to Bangkok and I will like to purchase a jersey or 2 from the premier clubs in Thailand if it looks good.

I saw the BEC Tero and it looks so 'Arsenal'. I was wondering how much does it sell and where can I get it in Bangkok? I looking for the one with the Nike branding one cos on the official BEC website, the one without the nike logo sells @ 400 baht.

Also, how much does the official Thai National Team cost? Where can I get the cheapest non-fake jersey?

FBT superstore opposite the Rajamangala Stadium has an official TPL shop where you can buy most team jerseys. However, as the season is nearly over stocks are pretty low at the moment - or at least they were when I was in there a couple of weeks ago.

Other outlets include the FBT and Grand Sport shops next to Supachalasai and Grand Sport near Rajamangala. I expect that there are more places in BKK but as I don't live there I can't really give you any more information. Although I do know Thai Port and Muang Thong Utd have club shops at their grounds which are open during the week.

Shirts range from about B450 to B850 depending on the club and brand. The official Thai shirt can be bought from a small store across the road from Supachalsai. They'll even put names and numbers on for you. I 'm afraid I don't know the name of the shop but they usually have genuine football shirts displayed in the window. I think they cost about B800.

Hope that helps.

Printing name and shirt cost about 300B in Grandsport shop. But you have to know what to print because they don't know anything about Thai football. For example if you want Niweat Siriwong shirt, you have to tell them put "NIWEAT S." because they don't know and may put for example "NIVED".

They sell this season but also some from previous seasons like 2007 or 2008.

It's good to see plenty - the vast majority in fact - of Thai football fans wearing their club's colours to games. Why? Well, as well as the obvious increase in revenue for clubs, it shows that nobody is getting would up about wearing a football top in public.

I'm a Sunderland fan and there's often some pretty heated debate on our main forum 'readytogo.net' about wearing shirts to matches, with plenty of people describing it as uncool or immature if you're over 14 years old!

As someone who likes to throw on a football shirt whenever I can't be bothered ironing I applaud the thousands out there in Thailand who have stuck two fingers up at looking cool and are proud to wear their team's colours.

I'm a fan of stripes personally, so Thai Port and Chonburi have the most savvy looking kits as far as I am concerned. Bangkok Glass also have an interesting kit, but this season's kit is spoiled by too much 'crap' being advertised across every spare inch of the chest and arms.

Are you referring to the Chonburi away kit?

I think your English allegiance was given away in your screen name :-)

I agree it's good to see locals in local football shirts. It shows a sense of community that is particularly important in these difficult political times.

I guess black and white stripes are not your favourite? ;-)

Anyone know a place in Bangkok where one can buy Div 1 and Div 2 shirts? I've tried most of the places around Supachalasai with no luck, and when I was in the TPL shop opposite Rajamangala (maybe 6 months ago), the only non-TPL shirt available was Samut Prakan

I too like the fact that everybody is wearing his team colours. Even htough there are a lot of fans in the German stadiums wearing their colurs, I've never seen so much like in Thailand.

Personally I like to wear and dress me up with kits. Especially during summer time. And here in Germany I wear all Thai Kits I do have. Even from the clubs I may not like that much. Reaction of the people sometimes is interesting.  Grin

@ Wolfman, FBT store next to Suphachalasai have some. I bought my Khon Kaen Kit there. And there also where a few others.

FBT Store at Raja didn't really had that much yes. But they had one from Tak FC. Next door to the FBT is the Grandsport Shop. I have seen kits there from Siracha (I bought one) and a few others, including an old Chula one.

It's well worth trawling through all those little shops opposite Supachalasai. You can usually pick up a few bargains. Failling that, try contacting the clubs directly. Most of them will be happy to help - or visit the home grounds on matchdays.

im afraid i fall into the category of those who think that 40 somethings in football shirts look daft. a also cringe when i see muppets in the arsenal support 'proudly' wearing the latest release or queuing up for it purely cos of the badge...even though shirts like the blue or white ones have little to do with our history

dont get me wrong, i do have a few shirts kicking round the house or stuck on the pub walls but i rarely wear them beyond a kick around...and to wear a shirt from a team i dont like just seems wrong

Back home it's usually more of a hassle to wear your teams colours to the game. Trying to get into bars or restaurants before or after the match with your football shirt on can lead to being refused entry. Also the threat of getting your head kicked in by opposition fans doesn't appeal either.

I think it's great that the Thais wear their colours with pride. I always feel a bit left out when I turn up at a game not wearing any team colours.

I agree with mackem that the Thai Port kit is probably the best top in the league. It's a unique strip and looks good.

I didn't wear replica shirts in England but to not wear one to a game over here just seems wrong. 'When in Rome...' and all that.

I NEVER would a wear a kit from club which I don't like except the Thai ones. Opposite to that, you NEVER would see me in an MTU, PU or BGFC kit in Thailand!!  I really love to wear all my kits during summer. The reason I wear all those Thai Kits in Germany is simply to draw attention by the people to Thai footie.

Any particular team?

Korat and Kamphaneg Phet.
Am currently living in Bkk, and don't really have the time/excuses to get up there for matches, particularly KP. Get to Korat more often, but never time it right for matches. However, I have found my way to the club shop in Korat, but at the time they didn't have the away shirt (I prefer black to the orange home kit), and picked up a supporter's T-shirt instead. Orange of course - I'm as inconsistent as the team Smiley
On the up side, I picked up a Khon Kaen shirt yesterday at the ground when I went to watch them beat Air Force Utd.

I really like the yellow Khon Kaen.  Looks pretty good. For Kamphaeng Pet, I do have a user on my website, who is regulary reporting about the KPFC matches. If you like I can offer you a contact to him.

Loko when you say you wear kits from clubs  you don't like I think you mean clubs you don't support? A native speaker will interpret "I don't like" as "I dislike" which is where I think our confusion lies :-)
