If stadiums are filled like this week in week out with such colourful passion, Thai football will be heading the right direction.  Imagine Chonburi vs Khon Kaen....wooo...long to see that.

It would be good to see them getting a bit more coverage nationwide. They would hopefully inspire other fans to get behind their local clubs.

It looks unlikely that they'll come up this season so I hope that the crowds don't drop.

It could be a local(ish) derby for you lot next season, Vinnie, with the title "Pride of Esarn" at stake!!

Is it far from Bangkok ?

You've lived in Thailand for nine years and you don't know where Khon Kaen is in relation to Bangkok?
No offence mate but you need to get out of the city more. Thailand isn't only Bangkok.

@ Charade, are you able to do something with all that pictures here? It is really annoying.

However, KKFC most likely to unvail their new signings by tomorrow. An exclusiv story and interview with one of them will be on thai-fussball.de within a couple of days.

I don't see what relevance the pics are to Khon Kaen FC. It took me about 5 mins to open this thread properly. If they can't be deleted then perhaps a new Khon Kaen topic should be started.

Khon Kaen have signed 2 Chinese youth internationals: Lee Yang (attacking midfielder), and Lee Chieng (defender).
The article also mentions a New Zealander being signed, but doesn't give a name.  There was a mention in the NZ press a few months back that Stuart Kelly was moving to Auckland City in the NZ Football Championship, and then onto a northeastern club in the TPL.

However, (1)the 29-year old is actually a Scot (18 youth caps, youth/fringe player at Rangers), and has never played for New Zealand; and (2) the article in NZ was written before KK had secured promotion.

Confirmed at last. Stuart Kelly will join the T-Rex at the end of the New Zealand season from March.

He's moving from Auckland City. The 29 year old midfielder is a former Scottish youth international, and was at Glasgow Rangers, among other clubs.

That's two Scots in the TPL now.

Do you know much about his time in New Zealand? I don't recall him ever playing for the Rangers first team. According to the Auckland City website, he left Rangers and played for East Stirling, a team notorious for being the worst team in Scotland.

I get the impression that he was a reserve/fringe player there. He moved to NZ and played for Canterbury Utd (and possibly Otago) in the NZFC, before moving to defending champions Auckland City this season. The moved to Thailand was announced at the same time as his move to Auckland.

There's something in Football Siam about a 32-year old former Japanese international KK are trying to sign. They can't name him, but he used to play for Urawa Reds and is currently with Kawasaki Frontale.

I'm just surprised they didn't give his phone number and address as well.
