Any of the mods care to give a good reason why certain threads have been merged, moved and/or re-titled?
"Crowd Trouble at PEA v Chonburi" is now in General Discussion called "Argument". (?!!) "Lee Sharp" has been merged in with "Ferang (sic) Players". "Fans" in General Discussion is three totally unrelated threads merged.
And a few others seem to have suffered the same fate.
Please can you explain the rationale behind this. Thank you.

Some have been completely removed. I started a thread asking for the current capacity of Rajamangala and it's been removed (apparently because it didn't elicit any replies).

Maybe you don't understand his idea...but I strongly agree with the moderator. I think he joined a lot of same topics in ONE to easy to follow and make more spaces. Moreover, some topic were removed because nobody replied for such a long time. So i hope you will think of the advantages before blame the moderator. Best regards!

Who's blaming the moderator(s)? I was merely asking for an explanation. I still don't understand why topic headings have been changed and I still haven't had a proper reply from anyone.
Changing the heading "Crowd Trouble at PEA v Chonburi" to "Argument" doesn't make any sense! (Neither does moving it to General Discussion which is defined as "anything not related to Thai football"). "Bottles being thrown, tempers flaring and people being taken to hospital as a result of fan misbehaviour is crowd trouble however you care to dress it up. All the posters, quite rightly, condemned the actions of those involved so if it's a "censorship" issue it has defeated the object of the thread.
An argument, on the other hand, is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. Not just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes. Which heading is more relevant to the subject of the thread?
This is not a moan (or a whinge ; )), I just asked a simple question and I'd like a reply.
Thank you : )

Come on SRS, you know better than to expect a mod to join in with discussion! This site has always been a bit mysterious. Do we actually know who runs it? I mean, it's not run by the FAT or SAT or anyone like that. Is he/she just a fan of Thai Football? And if so why does he/she never join in with discussion?

Vinnie's right. It would be nice to see a little more input from the moderators. And, maybe even know a bit about them.
"Whinger of the Week" eh, Adam? Believe me, if I started whinging you'd know about it. Just ask the wife!!!! : )

Don't think so. Charade's the guy from Vietnam that follows Thai fooball, isn't he?

There is a member 'Webmaster' but he hasn't been logged in since May 15th so he can't have been messing with the threads...the plot thickens!

I can imagine that it's been a bad couple of weeks in your household. Bet your wifes ready for the mid season break - possibly even for the end of the campaign come October!! Try not to break her heart when telling her the new campaign is starting a month earlier!

That's why she's at the match and I'm sitting at home in front of the computer : ( DF, you should be the webmaster on here. You seem to have a grasp of all things messageboardish. I don't know how you'd go about applying though. Seriously, you should consider it.

Your right, i could probably do it, but i think i'd be treading on someones toes. I've thought about creating my own along the lines of that asian football central thingy a few years back, but i then just couldn't be bothered. I think nigb could be onto something on his www.thaileaguefootball.com website, possibly just needs to promote his forum a bit more?

Much as I like nigb's site (I frequently plug it on here) do we need more English language Thai football forums? The number of native English speakers that follow Thai football is, and probably always will be, very small. It seems a shame to spread that small number across this forum, nigb's forum, Big Soccer, Thai Visa etc. I just think it would be much better, and create more sustained debate, if everyone just used one forum. Each to their own but personally I'll continue to only comment on Thai football on this forum.

I disagree with you Vinnie about the number of English speaking football fans. I see the numbers growing due to the expansion of the league, friendliness of fans, popularity of football, numbers of foreigners in Thailand or connected with Thailand. About thaileaguefootball.com the forum isn't intended to replace this one. There is actually a banner advertising this site on the left. It's more an extended comments area about the news that's displayed. It's a little more informal as there is no registration, members profiles or pm's. I have been trying to promote the website and Thai football among non Thai speakers online. If anyone has any ideas about how we can promote Thai football to more non Thai speakers it would be interesting to hear... maybe that should be a new topic.

I'm now a bit confused about the post categorising system. I posted an article about a player in Australia with Thai ancestry being looked at by Steve Darby for the Thai national team in the "Thai Team Best 23 Players" thread and it got moved into the "National Team Fixtures thread. I swear I was sober at the time of posting and I've never touched pot in my life, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't me who posted it there!
