Regional League tournament to be held in Hat Yai from 27th January to February 6th. I don't know the format, but the line-up is a lot different to what was originally intended. As reported on www.thai-fussball.de all the way back in October, the five regional champs plus Hat Yai and a few other southern teams were meant to be taking part. Instead, the line-up is: Chiang Rai United Bangkok F.C Ayutthaya Nakhon Ratchasima Satun Narathiwat Songkhla Hat Yai

I thought with the Mini-Championship Final a few weeks ago, the tournament on Hat Yai become history.

Joseph Tyler, is that the big guy that was playing #9 for TOT last season? If so, he's a great signing for Korat.

Toth is short and the guy I'm thinking of is tall. According to wiki, his name is Jozef Tirer. He's a tall, powerful lad and good on the floor as well. In my opinion he's better than Toth and MTU should have signed him instead of Toth.

Thanks. I was translating from the Thai, and I thought his name seemed too "English" as I could only recall Central and East Europeans at TOT last year.

Regarding the fixtures list, the article was mostly about the RL Super Champ Tournament from 29 Jan to Feb 6. However, just before the fixcture list it states the obvios that the draw is not yet complete and they are waiting for the latest playoffs to finish.

Lots of D2 clubs finding it hard going as govt funding has been cut from 1m baht to 500,000 per team. Chaiyaphum's total budget for the 2011 campaign, for example, is under 1m baht.

In case anyone doesn't know, Saraburi beat Rayong 1-0 to clinch promotion to Division 1 and finally bring the curtain down on the 2010 Regional League. Enjoy your seventeen-day close-season lads!

They'll be hauled in for "training" on each and every one of those seventeen days.

The Korat match was indeed on T-Sports and streamed on the Hat Yai website. I like how the organisers are clinging onto the name 'Super Champ' Cup when of the eight competing teams none were champions in 2010, and only two promoted. Yesterday's results: Hat Yai 3-0 Korat; Bangkok F.C 2-2 Satun Edit: one was a champion: Bangkok F.C.

I hear Chiang Mai will play Chiang Rai Utd on the 3rd so I'm pretty sure it's a youth team.
Ayutthaya are looking strong this year. Will have a good crack at winning the central region, signed a few Div 1 and Premier League players

The Central and East will be a close one to call this season. Ratchaburi have also strengthened by signing several TPL and div 1 players. Rayong and Samut Prakarn have the experience from last season and should be near the top come the end of the season.

Angthong FC, despite their last season meager performances, is indicating that they will make a run at D1 birth. According to club's news forum, they have acquired several new players in cluding a Nigerian stiker and a midfielder from Cambodian league champion as well as a defender Tiger Joel from Prajinburi. I have no idea how good these players are but current team photo shows they are young and small and could use supplementary feeding program, in my opinion.
