Does anyone have, or have a link to, the final 2007 Div 1 tables? They used to be on wikipedia but I can't see them on there now or anywhere else for that matter. It was only two years ago, they must be on the net somewhere!

They'll be dropping on your doormat in the next day or so Wink

Loko, do you want the 2005 TPL results and final table to go with that? I can also send you the Pro League results from 2004 and the final table. Probably lots more too once I've finished sifting through my backlog.

Thanks Loko - I knew it had to be on the net somewhere! Notice how we finished fourth from bottom in a twelve-team division but were still relegated because the FAT had to make up the numbers to form the new Divison 2 A and B which only lasted one season anyway!

@ SRS, rsssf.com has covered all TPL tables since 1996.

But what they are miss is

Div 1 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001/02, 2002/03 (incomplete), 2003/04, 2004/05, 2006

Pro League 2000, 2003/04, 2004/05, 2007 (incomplete)

Basically all the tables you can find in the wikis, are taken from this source.

http://rsssf.com/tablest/thaichamp.html

Btw, Chantaburi is named to be runners up in the 1984 FA Cup. But taking a look at the badge from my shirt, says they just had been founded 2004! Any clue?

Khon Kaen vs Si Saket 2:2

A very entertaining match. Unfortunately I had been able to see the two goals from Si Saket.
They connection broke down. But the SiSaketTV is really good. Good qualitiy stream with about 250 kb/s average.

Let's hope they are distracted by this when they come to PAT Stadium on Wednesday!

In all seriousness, it's got the makings of being a great game. I hope it's on TV!

I heard that Surat Tani had to let go 5 of their players on the account that these players were having dicipline problems.

It is in interesting to find out what will happen to those players and their careers.
Will there be a need of collective bargaining unit ref for TPL players any time soon?
How do they settle labor dispute in the mean time?

Hey, it's proleague. Gotta think like a pro!

Police have now confirmed promotion.

Nakhon Sawan will be relegated again if they don't win all their remaining games.

Customs Dept have recently been shooting up the table and are leaving my Southern team Surat Thani looking at the Regional League.

Next few weeks should be interesting down at the bottom

It would be a shame to see yet two more Bangkok based teams get promoted, especially with such "unsuitable" names for football teams. I think it's healthy to have all areas of the country represented. I hope Sisaket sneak in ahead of the army.

Sisaket should go up - remember three go up from Div 1. They've been knocking around Div 1 and the provincial leagues for ages, and promotion this season would complete a remarkable turnaround. Relegated with us to Div 2 in 2007, they immediately bounced back with promotion in 2008 and now look set to make it back to back promotions in 2009. Simlilar story to Chonburi and Muang Thong which goes to show that there is not much of a gulf at all between TPL, Div 1 and Div 2.

I'd like to see Khon Kaen come up. At one stage it looked a nailed on certainty that they would but their current form hasn't been great.

Since my last post regarding Surat FC, I have learned a few things from people who are closed to the club.
There are lots more to the story that what we've actually read on the paper.

1. Club leadship has no desire for promotion as they prefer to be where they are at, in Division I or II
2. Power struggle between two management groups the change of team's head coach.
3. The new head coach is not involving in day to day practice just show up on gamday
4. Team fielded players who are not participating in team practice had ripped apart the unity.
5. Local key players, ex-Thailand International some of whom have played for the club for as long as 10 years requested transfer but were ignored.
6. These players then turned into football Wanderers or Rovers whichever you prefer to call them
7. Club eventually released these players and implicated them of lacking in discipline on its press release as we have read.

Unless FAT is keeping their eyes on teams in similar situation in which I am certain Surat FC is not alone on this one,
these types of on going problems could possibly derail the kind of quality of football league it had envision.
It is threatening to make Vision Asia and Vision Thailand everything but 20/20.

There is nothing to say against no 1. It is simply honest and their right to act so. In Germany we also can see these kind of decissions made clubs. Earning a promotion, but than decide to stay where they are.

Police also win the league as they can't be caught on head to head record.

Army play Sisaket tomorrow, and since Army can't win the league, will they take the foot of the gas and Sisaket sneak back into 3rd? Surely bad management by the league again to see a team fighting for promotion be able to play a full 24 hours after Khon kaen so they can see what is needed to do. Why not play same time?

Totally agree, and I also thought of that for the TPL. Why didn't everybody was playing at the same kick off time?

Maybe playing same time is asking a bit to much, but surely play on the same day especially at this time of the season

Other news today, FAT have picked up a 1000 USD fine for not sending Under 19 womens coach to a press conference. Again bad management and a point less fine. Still not learning the basics

This explains why SiSaket has to play vs the Army today. But shouldn't be an excuse anyway. Making good calendar and organization, could avoid such things. And than I guess the green is damaged already, after using the whole weekend for other matches.  :Smiley

Just checked the table. So I need to be with Khon Kaen in any case. Cause if Thai Airways loose, Chantaburi needs only a draw to stay in. And the play vs Nakhon Sawan.  Grin

Welcome Sisaket to the TPL 2010. While KK only draw. Sisaket won 5:1. I was trying to reach their website, but it looks like their server was in heavy use.

Chantaburi saved the league with a 7:2 win over Nakon Sawan and Ban-Buang is relegated. But I am not sure who else has to go down, Cause it looks like that Surat won 5:4. No clue about the head to head here.

Thanks for the info Loko,

Congratulations to Sisaket FC on their promotion to TPL, although I'm a little dissaspointed Khon Kaen haven't been promoted. I'm sure they will battling for promotion again next season.

Surat Thani are down (damm!) as they were 2 points adrift of Chanthaburi.

They will enter Southern Regional League which isn't such a bad thing for them to re-group.

I'm assuming Thai Airways will join Central-East and Nakhon Sawan should join the Northern League?

Thanks pal, but as ever, it's only correct as far as i know, so if anyone ever knows anything else, ground changes, manager changes, etc), post on here and i can update it.

The credit must also go to a couple of Thai guys i'm trying to get involved on here, but they seem a bit shy at the moment!!
