That's pretty cool and interesting. But again a multi use stadium or one more.

Club fined 30,000 baht after fans beat up a referee at a recent game.
Although i wouldn't wish anyone to get hurt, i'm quite happy that Nakhon Pathom do have fans.

Nakhon Pathom relegated to Division 1 today. Since the mid-season break, they've only won 2 out of 14 (one of which was against Thai Port : ) so hardly surprising they've gone down. Selling their best player probably hasn't helped. I'm genuinely sorry to see them go down.

Nakhon Pathom also changed their logo and got a new one. They also added two Koreans to their squad. http://tinyurl.com/ydaahqd

One thing that slightly miffs me about 'farang' playing in Thailand is the fact that they were based in the Uk and made the big move abroad without to my knowledge, none of them ever signed up on here to maybe discuss the 'move' abroad or find out about the club scene. If these lads new he Thai scene, I would urge them to jump on board here and tell us what they know.
Maybe it's time to jump into the forums of Halifax etc and tell them about Lee Tuck and sell them the Thai game!

For what they should bother themselves with such kind of issues? Coming over here, earning some money for playing football, or even sit on the bench, while having a work permit or Visa for Thailand? It's easy life in paradise. Exceptions are the rules, like Byrne from CFC.

I'm just saying Loko that i'm surprised that these guys seem prepared to jump ship so far from England when in all likely hood that they know bugga all about the game there. I wonder what there reasons are or if they actually know much about the game there. Surely there first bit of research would have sent them to this site, of which i thought would have been a good starting point to ask basic questions.

Yes, your are right, and my answer to your comment is mine above. For what you want to make or get bothered with research and all that stuff, if you might be able get all those thing I ment above. I wouldn't mind as well. And take the risk. I mean sports wise, it may not make sense. And I don't want to rule thaifootball down by that. Money wise too. So there can be only different interests by the certain guys. Challenge in Sport? Maybe not, depends where you come from. Money wise? no. Cause probably you earn you more in your own country, but maybe you can't life from that money. In Thailand you can. Having rain cats and dogs in your own country featured with a cold whether compared to sometimes raining cats and dogs featured by a warm whether. Having fat and ugly english woman (sure germans not better) around you compared to having nice and small girls from Thailand around you? Palm trees, seaside, nice food, work at a place where others make only holiday, and a lot of more arguments for Thailand. Those are only arguments from an cursorily point of view the lads may have. But wouldn't that be points that count? Would you hesitate than? I wouldn't. Of course, If I would, if I play for Pool in the EPL. But for Clubs like Halifax or in a 3rd French League, or kicking a ball somewhere at the copacabana in Brazil if you are not the next Ronaldo?

Haha, just two days ago I stumbled over him. And I was wondering. It says he is working as youth coach for Preston North End since Aug 2010. Btw, why newly formed Chester? What happend to the origin?

They were kicked out of the conference for failing to meet payments. They had debts far lower than Portsmouth but because they didn't have people like Peter Storrie around them, they got bullied.

It's always the same. The "big" clubs like M*n U*d, Liverpool etc can run up debts of billions and billions but when one of the smaller clubs owes the local butcher a few quid, everybody is keen to put the boot in. It's a shocking state of affairs.

Same level as Stamford now. Except they're in Div 1 north and we're in Div 1 south of the Northern League.

That description of the leagues reminds me of the book "Life At The Tip" by Merv Grist. Have you read it?

That's a fantastic result for NP. But on the other side of the coin, it shows that the level of the Filipino football is dire.

Is Lee Tuck still at Nakhon Pathom? He wasn't playing against Air Force in the play-off and he wasn't even on the bench. Has he been released or is he injured?

I happen to know at least one TPL club wants him (not MTU).

Nakhon Pathom face ban for referee attack Nakhon Pathom could be banned as punishment for crowd violence at the end of the promotion playoff game against Si Sa Ket on Saturday which left the referee severely injured.
A ban would be the heaviest punishment ever meted out to a Thai football club. Emerging from a meeting of the subcommittee tasked with investigating the incident, Thailand Premier League president Vichit Yamboonrueng said Nakhon Pathom's league membership could be annulled.
"We found the Nakhon Pathom camp guilty of several charges - from verbal abuse of officials to assault on the referee. Under the current rules, the TPL has the right to punish them with a fine of Bt100,000 for the team officials' involvement in the attack on the referee, as well as Bt50,000 for fan violence.
"Our other options include ordering them to play their home games behind closed doors for at least 10 matches next season, or suspension from the competition for one year. Whether there are 17 or 18 teams in the league doesn't matter because we can handle it technically.
"Apart from that, we can annul the club's league membership. In this case, though, we can only propose such action - only the FAT [Football Association of Thailand] executive board has the power to decide on this matter," said Vichit.
Nakhon Pathom will learn their fate after the meeting of a committee headed by PolGeneral Worapong Chiewpreecha today.

I remember an incident a few years ago when Kuiburi players and staff beat up a referee in similar circumstances. I'm pretty sure that Kuiburi FC was disbanded as a punishment.

Maybe not. Maybe we open it again in January 2012!! Considering NP will appeal against the 2 year ban, we may end up with a 1 year ban. In that case, the FAT/TPL acted smart.

If they do, that should mean a new club with a new thread. Then maybe we should open new threads for all other clubs that have changed identity over the years. Let's start with Bangkok University, opps mean Bangkok United

The Bangkok United thread was started as Bangkok University, but those clubs should have their own threads. A new name, logo, colours, stadium, supporters etc means it`s NOT the same club. I have not checked PEA, but if Ayuthya and Buriram has the same thread it`s just stupid. The different competitions should also have a thread for every season, not all seasons in one very long thread. If someone in 2012 wants to read about 2009, it will be easy to find if they can go to the thread about 2009 rather than look through one very long thread. And what will this forum look like in 5-10 years if all seasons still stay in one thread? From January all clubs and competitions should get a new thread to post stuff about 2011. Bangkok United is going to... I don't think you understand, even if a new club was formed, it would still eb the old club run with the same people, just another of these slight name changes to get around the rules.

The new club will be registered as another club. In a year or two there might be ONE thread for TWO clubs if this forum treats them as the same. Back to PEA who I mentioned above. How can someone say Buriram PEA and Ayuthya PEA are the same club? Except for the letters PEA everything is now different from the club who once played in Ayuthya. It`s not even run by the same people, so there should be 2 PEA threads. Other threads should also be split into 2 threads. Erm no, PEA is PEA no matter where they play. Your example would mean since Liverpool got new owners then they are run by different people so again would have a new approach and nothing to do with the old school, so on a Liverpool forum you are telling us you would create a new thread?? The aspect for NP is that they are banned from playing for two years, thats NP. Under the current rules, the league setup is for everyone, a one club one province, so they could in fact play in the RL setup with a slight name change to say they aren't the old club but still run from the same ground by the same owners. In fact, it wouldn't suprise me if NP were to disband themselves and re-start as Nakhon Pathom Hunters in the next season.

FAT/TPL should established a set of rules that the consequence of serious violation is also to the association to which the club is under its juridition, meaning they should not be allowed to go around the loop and and finding a crack to re-enter under new identity. Get their football education going and behaving in civilised manners then football community can welcome them back with open arms. I am sorry that this may sound a bit harsh but wasn't it the fans that have been crying for professionalism all these years. Surely, officiating will need to improve but the safety of officials has to be always guarranteed. It go back to visionary management of FAT/TPL as we all know it is their creation any ways we look at it.
