Hi everyone. Have been following this forum for a while but this is my first post.
I found this list of player transfers for 2009 TPL. I'm not going to (attempt) translate all of the names, but it gives an indication of the amount of player trading each team is doing. The left column are players in, the right column players out. Muang Thong look to be fielding a new team next year, Pattaya United (it's listed at Pattaya United) and BEC-Tero are pretty active. I'm bit sad about Faifa-Ayutthaya losing their no.9 Pipat Tanganya to Port Authority as I'm a Faifa fan and he's one of their top players.

http://www.coreballthai.com/transferPlayer.php

List any updates of player transfers.

Hopefully we'll get to meet up during the course of next season. Maybe at the season opener at the end of February?

Welcome Nigb. It's good to have someone else 'on the ground' in Thailand who can contribute to the board.
So Bang-Phra are officially Pattaya Utd for next season?

Yes. It's official. However, they are still using the old Bang Phra badge on the coreball site. Maybe they should run a competition to design a Pattaya United badge..........................Or maybe not Wink

have been following PEA since August this year. I went jogging around the Ayutthaya stadium and noticed the action.
I read that formal announcements about Pattaya Utd are expected in January. Apparently they are planning to spend 90 million baht to build a 20 thousand seat stadium  ready for 2010 season, I wonder if they are expecting to fill it.

Good timing re starting to follow PEA this season. A few weeks before they won the league Smiley

I'm hearing all sorts of rumours everyday about Pattaya FC from various people connected to Bang Phra and Chonburi. The new stadium (according to rumour) is to be built on 3rd Road on land owned by Kn Wittaya Kunpleum's younger brother.

Until then they will play their home games at a temple stadium about 10kms outside the city-more details, and thoughts, on the "Pattaya United?" thread.

I heard about Santi but it's strange, he still don't have officially sign.

We sign former U23 Wuttichai Tatong from Chula United but lose Niweat Siriwong to Pattaya United.
Another key player who left... Very strange...
I don't know what is happening in this club...

I don't think that we can challenge PEA FC, Muang Thong or Chonburi FC... Embarrassed

Hopefully we got at least Kittipon Paphunga from Chula United, he is for me Datsakorn Thonglao n°2 héhé!

From www.thaileaguefootball.com

"Nakhon Pathom FC plans to sell Welsh player,Michael Byrne and Ekkapoom Potarungroj. Satit Taweenuch, manager of the Hunter also states “there will be new striker and 2 midfielders to toughen the team.”"

A strange one. I thought that Byrne has been quite successful at NP. I wonder where he'll end up?

In fact, Michael Byrne is not leaving Thailand. He is set to join Chonburi FC!

What i fear is Muang Thong United, they just kill us yesterday (BEC Tero 1-4 Muang Thong United) and are going to have Ronnachai Rangsiyo (thai international player) from PEA and Kaneung Buransook from Samut Songkhram, 2 very good strikers.

http://www.the-afc.com/en/afc-cup-2009/24603-byrne-fired-up-for-afc-cup

BANGKOK – Chonburi recruit Michael Byrne is looking forward to getting his first taste of continental action in the quarter-finals of the AFC Cup after watching his new team-mates ease to a 4-0 Round of 16 win over PSMS Medan on Tuesday.

Byrne (pictured) watched the comfortable win over the Indonesian side from the Rajamangala Stadium stands and the former Wales youth international is relishing the prospect of turning out for the Shark in the last eight of the AFC Cup, with Chonburi’s opponents being determined at the quarter-final draw at AFC House on Monday.

“(The match with PSMS) was a good standard and I am looking forward to maybe playing in the AFC Cup,” Byrne told www.the-afc.com.

“I was disappointed not to be playing (against PSMS) but hopefully I’ll play in the next game.”

Byrne signed from Nakhon Pathom - filling the void left by the departure of Melbourne Victory-bound Surat Sukha - and caught the eye of Chonburi coach Kiatisuk Senamuang after an impressive first stage of the Thailand Premier League season that saw him net five goal in 15 games for the Hunters.

“I am very impressed at how professional everything is at Chonburi…the coach has a lot of ideas and I look forward to playing under him,” continued Byrne, who began his career as a youth player with Bolton Wanderers before moving on to Stockport and then Northwich Victoria, where he scored ten times in 81 matches prior to his move to Thailand.

Byrne revealed that it was his ambition to broaden his football horizons overseas and after gradually coming to terms with the occasionally oppressive heat in the Thailand the fair-skinned 24-year-old says he is settling in well to life in Thailand both on and off the pitch.”

“I always wanted to play away from England and I was really looking forward to the challenge of playing in Thailand,” he said.

“I am used to the heat now and I want to be playing all the time. The standard (of Thai players) is technically good but it is a different style from what I am used to.

“I like it here very much and I have adapted quite well, I think. I have many friends here now and I am very happy. I really enjoyed my time at Nakhon Pathom and they are like my family now

“But I take things step by step and my main focus now is earning a place and doing well for Chonburi.”

According to thaileaguefootball.com BEC Tero have signed 17 year old Supat Rungratsami from Portsmouth's Academy. Fans of the Championship Manager/Football Manager computer game might already be aware of his name, as he was always a good young player to buy. Lets hope he can show his "potential" in the TPL!

Do you want to find the next Michael Byrne for your team??

Here is a link to the PFA website, which lists all of the professional players in the U.K who have been released by their clubs and are free agents, or are available for free transfers. I doubt whether Sol Campbell or Ivan Campo will be interested in a move to the TPL Grin but some of the younger guys might.

http://www.givemefootball.com/pfa-transfer-list

I've already passed on the link to Khun Sasom, the manager of Thai Port FC.

We could do with a few new players to bolster the squad. The only signing I've heard about so far is Wisoot Bunpeng, a young midfielder we have brought in from Raj Pracha.

TEERATEP RETURNS TO THAILAND

BANGKOK – Thailand international striker Teeratep Winothai has joined Muang Thong United (MTU) for the second half of the Thailand Premier League season.

The 24-year-old is on the books of Belgian second division side Lierse SK, where he scored once in eight appearances for the four-time national champions but returned to Thailand to cement his place in the national team as the three-time ASEAN champions look to qualify for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.

Teerathep, who spent four years in England with the youth teams of Crystal Palace and then Everton before joining inaugural AFC Champions League runners-up BEC Tero Sasana, could make his Muang Thong debut on Sunday, when the TPL high-fliers take on Thai Port.

MTU are currently third in the table with the side that gained promotion to the top flight by winning the first division title last season sitting on 29 points after 15 matches, one less than second-place Bangkok Glass who in turn trail AFC Cup quarter-finalists Chonburi on goal difference.

More transfer news from TLO.

Forward Ronnachai Rangsiyo (MTU), plus goalkeepers Tanonsak Panpipat (MTU) and Samuel P Cunningham (TTM Phichit) are all now BEC Tero players.
The club says they are looking for up to 10 new players to strengthen their squad for 2011.

Former Bradford City defender Chris Brandon is currently on trial, and a decision on whether to offer a contract will be made after their next two friendlies.

Off-season signings made by BEC already include:
Teerathep Winothai (forward, MTU) (previously on loan)
Mika Chunuangsri (Suwannaphum Customs)
Supachai Pupa (defender, Chantaburi)
Jakarit Bunkam (Thai Port)
Martin (centre-half, Brazilian)

No word on whether Anon was part of the deal - over to you, Greg.

They will be good signings for BEC Tero. They are decent players but not good enough for MTU.  The FA Cup final showed that.

And another signing for BEC Tero - Tewa Srithammanusarn becomes their 9th new player to join the Fire Dragons.
He's moving from Si Saket, and will get his first run out with his new team on Thursday in a friendly v MTU in Nong Jork. (Cue Druryfire asking which team is at home Wink)

And at last, it's official..... Anon Sangsanoi will be at Muang Thong United next season. The most prolific Thai striker in recent seasons has signed a 3-year contract and wear no. 17. He said that is was difficult leaving BEC, as it was like leaving his home, but the lure of continental football was a major factor in his decision.

David Booth's contract as Laos coach is coming to an end, and it is tipped that he may next appear at a TPL club, as he lives in the Kingdom.

Also, Thai Honda are resigned to losing most or all of their young under-19 stars. They have 7 players aged under-19, may of whom have played for the Thai U19s. Two have already moved on, and (you guessed it) BEC Tero are looking at a few of the others.

As I 'm sure you can tell, I love off-season transfer speculation Grin
