Winnie were happier after fitness testing and injury checking. He confirmed the injury of main players had recovered. Today Datsakorn, Teerasil and Surat have a full training with team mates. He has been asking Sompong who was sent to the hospital during friendly game against Jordan, it was just a little injury and it has been cured. Winnie also sent a message to Thai Fans, "Don't have to worry, if all players get fit, we will have a full team against Saudis and I can pick anyone I want".

http://www.siamsport.co.th/Sport_Football/111007_293.html

Winnie has been asked about the choosing of keeper because Thai team has two top keepers, Kawin and Sinthaweechai. The first one is young talent and great physical but the other one has experience and are on the top of his career with his confidence. Winnie said "The other team in Asia would be envy us having two great keeper in a team".

The game against Australia and Oman Winnie chose Sinthaweechai because Kawin was injury but last game Winnie let each of them played one half but no challenge for them at all.

P.S. I think Winnie will pick Kawin only if he choose Natthaporn and Phanupong as defenders. On the other hand, he'll pick Sinthaweechai no matter who play defenders because no reason to drop someone who is on top performance and confindence.

Saudi Arabia won't spend any single night in Thailand. They will come to Thailand from Malaysia  on the morning of game day and go back after the game.

From: sai loed ball thai (tv show)

Thai general manager, Anucha Nakasai, said Thai FA will give $62500(2million baht) if the Elephant War,Thailand, win this game and he believed the odd that Thai team can beat Saudis team is 80 percent.

The secretary of Thai FA,Ong-Aj Koh-Sin-Kha, pressed that  Saudi Arabia would be adverse themselves after not spend any single night in Thailand before the game. It's not against any FIFA rules if they send the manager to have a conference before the game one day and the players come to the game on time. This would really help Thai team play easier.

Yesterday, Surachai Jaturapattarapong,Assistance Coach, and Stefan Brasas,Keeper Coach, went to Malaysia to watch the game between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia

There might be possible to move the stadium from Rajmangala to Suphatchalasai due to flooding crisis in  Thailand.

Credit: http://www.pantip.com/cafe/supachalasai/topic/S11169054/S11169054.html

P.S. Today my house had 5 cm high of water. Fortunately, I moved my stuff up stair before it got worse and I put sand bunkers around my house to protect flooding from the outside.

Assistance coach believed Saudi isn't different from Oman and Thai can beat them.

After came back from Malaysia, Surachai said Saudis team's formation and style aren't different from Oman and Thai team has a strategy to take them down. Today, Winnie give a special training for strikers.

Surachai said "After watching Saudis game, I believe they aren't different from Oman, passing, movement and doesn't dangerous in the air like Australia that we concerned".

"I will give the tape of Saudis game to Winnie for analyzing thoroughly and also the tape of our game to fix a little problem. Winnie works as a professional and wants to make things right. I'm sure he already had a strategy to play with Saudis".

Today, Winnie sent the players who worked hard last game to have some weight training at the hotel. The rest of them had a full training as usual. German trainer spent 1 hour for pratising finishing and creating finishing chances.

Translate from: http://www.thaileagueonline.com/news.php?id_news=9917&page=1

--I'm pretty sure only thing in Winnie mind is how to finish Saudis because I think  with Winnie's personality, he prefer to get 3 points at home in every game and 1 point wouldn't satisfy him at all. Moreover, I think getting a single point from Saudi Arabia is a lot harder than getting 3 points at our home with supporting from fans.

If they really move, I think the fans could used the same tickets to watch but for those who not be able to go there I think they can get refund.

Saudi Arabia changed their mind and decided to stay in Thailand one night before game.

Saudis team will have a training at Rajmangala tomorrow. Worawi Makudi hope this game would rehabilitate the national relationship between Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

Saudis team change their mind and decided to go to Thailand earlier and will arrive on Monday morning. They will have a training at Rajmangala in the evening.

Before today, Frank Rijkard's team confirmed not to stay in Thailand even a single night. But Worawi Makudi, president of Thai FA, mentioned that Saudis team decided to go to Thailand from Malaysia one day earlier.

"I received a letter from Mohamed Al-Misihi, president of Saudis FA about a charter flight of Saudis team from Malaysia to Thailand. They will arrive on Monday morning. We already arranged the hotel and the bus for them and provide a superior hospitality for them. I hope this game would rehabilitate the national relationship between Thailand and Saudi Arabia"

The flooding crisis have no problems

After the official from AFC came and checked Rajmangala, they permit to use Rajmangala Stadium for hosting Saudi Arabia. Before the checking begin, Rajmangala was full of water but the draining system of the stadium work so efficient so the stadium is ready to use again.

Obviously football is pretty unimportant at a time like this but I'm glad to see that the match will go ahead.

Hope your flooding has subsided, Bubertov.

Roughly news 10-Oct-2011

After 1 point from two games, Saudis side has no chance, only 3 points they need from this game. And it is obvious that their plan is attacking.

Winfred Schaffer said "It wouldn't be an easy game but we could win. We could qualify to next round. Our target is World Cup. I hope tomorrow we will do the same as Oman and Australia games. If we can perform like that, we will have a chance to win."

Winnie also encouraged to his players "When you play national team, the world recognize you". "Now the team are  really working hard on fitness and tactics so we aren't scare them at all."

Moreover, he press on Frank Rijkard "He was a great player and coach in Europe but working at Arab is different. He is under pressure after losing Australia".

http://www.siamsport.co.th/Sport_Football/111010_144.html

Winnie didnt care the records (Thai never won over Saudis side in 27 years). He claimed that this is different era and time changed things but Saudis team is tough because they qualified World Cup so many times and still be the top team in Asia.

Niweat Siriwong, Thai defender said the record is for breaking.

Due to bad result in last two games, Frank Rijkard said "I have no chance except come here to win. This is a chance to prove myself as Saudis coach. We can't look over Thai because obviously they did very good job with Oman and Aussie. And Winfred is a great coach. The players have faith in him".

He(Rijkard) also claimed that last two games weren't the best they can do and tomorrow they will show the best performance as a top of Asia.

http://www.siamsport.co.th/Sport_Football/111010_283.html

Mr. Worawi Makudi, the president of Thai FA, encoraged the team by giving 2 million Baht only if they win, 1 million for draw or 500 thousand if they lose but impress the fans.

For tomorrow game, Thai will wear Blue hersey and Saudis will wear White jersey.

For the next game Thailand will play against Saudi Arabia at Saudi Arabia. Thai FA is planing to have a game with Nepal in Thailand before going to Qatar for training and adapt with environment in Arab. After that they will going to Saudi Arabia.

Worawi confirmed that he has a plan to deal with flooding.

As this game involves with relationship between Thailand and Saudi Arabia so there will have a high security system.

Bro. I have a big question : Why Thailand often wore blue jersey in recent matches ? Even when they played at home ? They no longer like yellow ?

Sorry I have to answer this in personal message.

Let's just say it's about politics and superstition or belief.

For me, I strongly don't believe the color was one of the factor that made Thai national team lack of successful.
Losing champion of SEA game, not qualified for AFC Asian Cup, the unsuccessful of youth team and so many more. The Danon Cup, a team from from Thailand wore yellow jersey but still success.

Thais hold Saudis to scoreless draw

Quote
Thailand put up a good fight to hold Saudi Arabia to a scoreless draw in a World Cup qualifier at Rajamangala National Stadium last night.

Thailand striker Teerasil Dangda, left, is marked by Saudi Arabia defender Osama Hawsawi in a World Cup qualifer at Rajamangala National Stadium last night. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

With the stalemate, the Thais remain second in Group D of Asia's qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup with four points from three matches.

Australia stay perfect with a maximum nine points after a comfortable 3-0 home win against Oman in yesterday's other Group D match. Saudi Arabia are third with two points and Oman have one.

The top two teams from each of the five groups advance to Asia's final qualifying stage.

In an entertaining match in Bangkok before some 30,000 fans, the Saudis dominated for long periods but could find no way past a defence marshalled by Niweat Siriwong and Chonlatit Jantakam.

Thailand goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool made several fine saves in probably his best match for his country.

The visitors, who drew at Oman and suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Australia in their first two games, attacked from the start in an attempt to put their campaign back on track.

They could have taken the lead after 33 minutes when Abdulaziz Al Dawsari beat Sinthaweechai only for Neweat to clear the ball off the line.

Thailand also had their own chances but striker Teerasil Dangda failed to find the back of the net.

Midfielder Datsakorn Thonglao saw his shot saved by Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah late in the first half.

The Middle East side kept piling on the pressure in the second half with striker Yasser Al Qahtani coming close to breaking the deadlock.

Datsakorn almost became Thailand's hero in the 73rd minute when his free-kick flew just over the bar.

"It was an exciting game. Both teams played well in attack and defence," said Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer.

"The Saudis had more scoring chances than us but Sinthaweechai played very well today.

"I'd like to praise my players and the fans. I am pleased with my players's performance. But we must try harder to lift our standard."

Saudi Arabia coach Frank Rijkaard said: "It was an exciting game and we had several chances but failed to score. We should have won if we had some luck."

The Saudis will next host Thailand next month and the former Netherlands coach was upbeat about his team's chance.

"It will be different when we play at home. We still have a chance to reach the next round because we still have the home game against Thailand," said the former AC Milan and Holland star.

During half-time, the Football Association of Thailand donated 2.18 million to Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit to help the goverment's flood relief efforts.
