Prices are 1000, 500 and 200 baht. Students may purchase tickets in the 200 baht zone at half-price.
Leicester got trounced 6-1 by Pompey last night. If Preston win today, Leicester City will be bottom of the Championship. They should knock a zero off the ticket prices and make them 100, 50 and 20 Baht. Students should be given 200 Baht to watch this game. Remembering near enough the whole of Thailand wearing Liverpool shirts last year when they played Thailand, I wonder how many Leicester City shirts we will see in the crowd (crowd is being generous, I think gathering will be more appropriate).

Maybe theey can use the excuse that the government won't allow gatherings in Bangkok and that this game could be unauthorised by them, hence only 5 people might be there.

Tin-foils hats off lads. According to the news on TLO, Thailand will play Leicester City on 9 October at Supachalasai at 6pm. Newin may have stolen Christmas and the PEA, but he hasn't got his mitts on the national team yet.
For Leicester fans (and stalkers), the full programme is something like: 3rd Oct: Fly out from Leicester to Kuala Lumpur (flight D72009). 4th: Arrive in Phuket at 2105 (flight AK828). 4th-6th: Stay at Khao Lak Sea View Resort and Spa. 7th: Fly to Bangkok (FD3026), arriving at Suwannaphum at 1410. Stay at Pulman Bangkok (King Power?) Hotel 8th: Training at Supachalasai at 1800. 9th: Play Thailand at 1800 at Supachalasai.
Tickets available from Thai Ticket Major, Star Soccer branches (basement of Central Lat Prao; 2nd floor Panthip Plaza; 2nd floor Seacon Square), and at the stadium from 1400 on matchday. Tickets go on sale on Friday, 1st October. Prices are 1000, 500 and 200 baht. Students may purchase tickets in the 200 baht zone at half-price.
This match was confirmed on ASEAN football website yesterday : THAILAND TO PLAY LEICESTER NEXT MONTH BANGKOK (25 Sept 2010) - The Thai national team have been penned down to play against English side Leicester City at the Supachalasai Stadium on 9 October. Kick-off is at 6pm local time.
The match is being used by the Thai team under Bryan Robson to prepare for the Asian Games in November and also the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 in December.
Leicester was recently bought by Thai enterpreneur Vichai Raksriaksorn, who is the chairman and CEO of King Power Group.
Leicester had signed Japan international Yuki Abe to their roster and are likely to acquire a Chinese player and a South Korean star in January's transfer window.
However, he admitted that it would be difficult for the Foxes to sign Thai players because of England's strict work permit rules.
Instead, Leicester will accept Thai players to train at their academy and a Leicester academy will be built near Suvarnabhumi airport, Vichai said.
Club director Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said players like Matt Oakley, Jack Hobbs, Leon Crncic and Yuki Abe will be on the trip.
The team will fly from England to Phuket and stay there for two days before coming to Bangkok.
Tickets have been prcied at BHT200, BHT500 and BHT1,000 while for students it has been priced at BHT100 and they will be on sale at Thai Ticket Major outlets from 1 Oct and at the stadium on match day.

The Leicester fans ain't too happy. The combination of Milan Mandaric, Newin and prospective new manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is surely a recipe for disaster. What is it with Thai owners and Eriksson? Taksin took him to Man City and now Newin wants him at Leicester.

"But who knows. Maybe Newin Chidchob, buddy of the King Power Group owner, will send some Buriram fans to Bangkok and hand out some Leicester City kits to them." ....I wrote a few days back. Well at least half of my expectations came through.
However, their sing sang, was more than annoying.

He should have handed out some thai shirts. When I got to the stadium it looked like a Buriram game. I think their "sing sang" was good. I think there were more VIPs at today`s game than at an ordinary thai national game. A few good looking cars, specially a black Rolls Royce with some thai letters and the number 8 only, on the licenseplate. Tainted windows, so I could not see who sat inside, and it had a police escort.

Leicester cruise to 2-0 win Martyn Waghorn puts Leicester ahead after just 10 minutes. Sven-Goran Eriksson got off to a winning start as Leicester City manager as the Foxes comfortably beat Thailand 2-0 in a friendly match at Supachalasai stadium yesterday.
Martyn Waghorn (10th minute) and Paul Gallagher (34th) scored for the English League Championship (second division) side in wet conditions following a heavy downpour.
Leicester, owned by Thai duty free retail King Power Group, proved too strong for Thailand, who were a mixture of the full national and Under-23 players.
The match was part of the full national team's and the Under-23 side's preparations for December's Suzuki Cup (Asean championship) and next month's Asian Games respectively.
Waghorn opened the scoring after just 10 minutes and saw his shot stopped by Thailand goal-keeper Kawin Thamasatchanan after 28 minutes.
The Foxes piled pressure on the home side and took a 2-0 lead with a Gallagher strike after 34 minutes.
Thailand's best chance came in the 40th minute when striker Sarayoot Chaikamdee went clear but sent his shot wide.
Thailand had a couple of good chances in the second half but lacked sharpness.
The English team came close to scoring more goals late in the game with Waghorn's shot saved and Gallagher's effort hitting the bar. Leicester players celebrate with the trophy. "It was a good game and I'm happy with the result," said Eriksson who was appointed Leicester manager a few days ago.
Leicester sacked Portuguese coach Paolo Sousa last week after a bad start to the season. The Foxes are currently 22nd in the 24-team Championship.
Eriksson admitted that the club faced a tough task to get promotion to the Premier League.
"It is everybody's dream to be promoted to the Premier League. We have to work hard to return to the Premier League," said the Swede.Leicester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, left, talks with Thailand coach Bryan Robson. "I cannot say when we will be promoted but we will try our best. Right now, our position is not good."
Asked about his spell at Manchester City when the club was owned by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Eriksson said: "I don't want to be involved in politics. I only concentrate on football. The new club means the new thing to me."
Thaksin sacked Eriksson after just one season although the Swedish coach took the club to ninth place in the Premier League.
Thailand coach Bryan Robson said his men did well but they looked exhausted after playing many games in the Thai Premier League, the League Cup and the FA Cup.
"Leicester are a strong team and I'm sure they can get back to the Premier League," he said.

He should have handed out some thai shirts. When I got to the stadium it looked like a Buriram game. Not being funny, they probably didn't even know who was playing. They get their 300 baht, get put on a bus and away they go. Let's see how many of them turn up at the next competitive match Thailand play in Bangkok.

did they sing their burirum songs?
complete unintelligible for me. i often talked to some thai people who really like to wear shirts of a team that is not playing. maybe its their culture. if the thai national team would play in chiang mai, maybe some people would wear a chiang mai shirt, if they would play in chonburi, sure some people (maybe more then some) would wear a chonburi shirt, but why a big group have to wear burirum shirts in bangkok? if this would be leeds united and not leicester city, would they also be there?

The small thai flag aside the big Buriram banner looked like an alibi. I am sure that on other days and other national matches, they would not be there. And probably wearing a thai kit. Everything just about the Leicester issue. Newin btw was seen inside the stadium, down the benches. In a PEA kit.

That number means one third of the total number was sponsored Buriram-supporters in Buriram shirts, with a big Buriram banner in front of them at the stand. It was the first, and probably the last, time I went to see a game between 2 teams, and most people in the stands were using a third team`s shirt. Those aren't shirts...they are tatoos!

The problem with Thai football at the moment seems to be that everyone is in it for themselves:
We have:
FAT are doing the best for the national team TPL are doing the best for the TPL. Toyota are doing the best for the League Cup.
These entites, are all focused on there own tournament/league/national team. They don't see thw whole picture.
The TPL has been let down with the protests earlier in the year, and now we just seem to have a fixture list of nutrition if anything. A good season that for myself since the League Cup was announced, has suddenly become disfucntional.
The League Cup, will send the winners to Japan, another tournament in the making that will seem rather pointless. I don't think Thai football will benefit from it. Let's hope I'm proved wrong and it will improve Thai football no end.
The National team, not really got a problem with them playing on October when it is sanctioned by FIFA, but FAT do really need to start getting serious. For example, we have the AFF Championship coming up. Thailand could have organised a couple of games against day Hong Kong and/or China, Korea to get in some practice.
But it does seem apparent that under the leadership of Makudi, that games against club sides will prevail forever and ever. If he wants to take this route, then why not a Shanghai, Beijing or Seoul?
My only fears are that FAT are so short sighted. If Thailand dod make the Asian Cup, then what would have been the preparation? Everyone else has games lined up, Thailand don't. But we should have games lined up 8/9 months in advance.

"He also announced a 4-team "Pre-Asian Games" tournament between Thailand, Qatar (Asian Games champions), Vietnam and Singapore will be played at Supachalasai from 27 October - 1 November. This will feature the Asian Games squad (U-23). "
Isn't the FA Cup final scheduled for the 30th October?
Olympic Singapore withdrew . Anyone will replace them or not ?

BANGKOK (6 March 2011) – Datuk Worawi Makudi, the president of the FA of Thailand (FAT) has announced that five-times World Champions Brazil will take on Thailand in an international friendly on 7 October this year. The South American powerhouse will play in Bangkok as part of the celebrations of His Majesty the King’s 84th birthday. “Teixeira (Ricardo, the president of the FA of Brazil) has promised that he will send Brazil’s strongest team to Thailand for the friendly,” said Worawi. http://www.aseanfootball.org/?p=4261

English Premier League giants Chelsea FC confirmed they will send the full squad to Thailand for a friendly match against Thai Premier League All Stars team on July 24.
The Coke Super Cup match will be played at Rajamangala National Stadium.
Apart from the Bangkok stop, the Blues will also visit Malaysia and Hong Kong as part of their Asian tour in the summer.
The president of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), Worawi Makudi, said the friendly match will give Thai players a good opportunity to play against world-class opponents.
"It is good for the Thai Premier League players to play against Chelsea. Their team is full of superstars. They will gain some good experiences from this match," said Worawi.
Dr Wichit Yamboonruang, the TPL chairman, said the match will take place during the mid-season break and he hopes to get the best players available for the match.
"Each club will have to co-ordinate with us. We will select the best players for this match."
Pongsakdi Polanant, Executive Director of I-Sport Co., Ltd, the tournament organisers, said the Chelsea squad will arrive in Thailand on July 22 and will stay until July 25.

Warm-up ends in stalemate Thailand could only manage a scoreless draw with Jordan in a warm-up match ahead of both sides' World Cup qualifiers at Rajamangala National Stadium last night.
Before the match, the Football Association of Thailand donated 500,000 baht to Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit to help flood victims.
Proceeds from the match will also go to the government's flood relief efforts.
Both sides mainly fielded second-string players with Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer resting striker Teerasil Dangda and midfielder Datsakorn Thonglao.
Thailand dominated for long periods with forwards Sarayuth Chaikamdee and Sompong Soleb had scoring chances early on.
Midway through the first half, Sompong got injured and was replaced by Piyapol Buntao.
While Thailand were the better side, Jordan also squandered a couple of good chances,
In the final 20 minutes, Schaefer sent on striker Sarawut Masuk, of second division side Jamjuree United, who had chances but failed to find the back of the net.
Thailand will host Saudi Arabia and Jordan will meet Singapore next Tuesday in World Cup qualifiers.
Thailand are second in Group D with three points from two matches. Australia lead with a maximum six points while Saudi Arabia and Oman each have one point.
The top two teams from each of the five groups reach Asia's final qualifying stage for the 2014 World Cup.

Thais flat in tune-up for World Cup qualifier Thailand geared up for next week's crucial World Cup qualifier with a drab goalless draw against Jordan in front of sparse crowd at Rajamangala National stadium yesterday. Given that the game was played only five days before the Group D match against Saudi Arabia at home on Tuesday, it came as no surprise that Thailand's German coach Winfried Schaefer put out an experimental side. It contained several players who did not feature in the first two World Cup qualifiers, against Australia and Oman last month. With Schaefer preferring to leave out in-form striker Teerasil Dangda, who was carrying a minor knock, no player from Thailand Premier League champions Muang Thong United made the line-up. Schaefer's changes took their toll, with the hosts taking some time to find their rhythm at the almost deserted stadium. Few moves of note decorated the opening stages as both teams remained cagey about going forward. The lack of a single attempt on goal in the first 20 minutes showed the lifeless nature of the game. Most disappointing for the hosts was the display of Bangkok Glass forward Sarayoot Chaikamdee, who was handed a rare run-out but seldom got involved in the hosts' play. Thailand, though, almost conjured a goal out of nothing when Sompong Sorleb whipped a cross into the box and Apiphu Sunthornpanawet - another player handed a chance to impress - fired his point-blank shot against the post. Ahead of the interval, Thailand made their first substitution when Schaefer decided to take off his regular right-midfielder Sompong as a precaution after the Buriram player sustained a slight injury to his right leg. With half-time approaching, the visitors' goalkeeper was called into action for the first time, superbly tipping Apiphu's fierce long-range shot over the bar. The second half started more promisingly when the lively Apiphu recommenced his assault on goal, bursting through on the right side of the box only to see his shot sail harmlessly over the bar. Soon after, Apiphu, keen to stake his claim for a place against a Saudi Arabia side coached by former Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard, came even closer from a similar position, with his angled shot fizzing just wide of the far post. After such a positive start to the half, the pace of the game then dropped considerably as both sides made a slew of substitutions. Piyaphon Buntao put the ball in the back of the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside, and the Jordanian keeper had little to do as the game wound down to a disappointing conclusion. Schaefer now turns his attention to Tuesday when his side, lying second in the group, can brighten their qualification chances with a win over the third-placed Saudis. Credit : http://www.nationmultimedia.com/new/sports/Thais-flat-in-tune-up-for-World-Cup-qualifier-30167078.htmlThis friendly game is really helpful for both team for coming up games. In my opinion the game was bored because both team decided not to use main players. Most of Jordan players are from Al Wedat club which had a game on the mid week. For Thailand, Vinnie wanted to see a new boys what they can do. Vinnie pressed that the strikers weren't impress him but he satisfied with overall. Despite of strikers left back from Buriram, Teeratorn impressed Vinnie by rocked on the left side and got along with his club mate, Rangsan. The media asked Vinnie about the main players for Saudi Arabia game. He said "It only depend on Teerasil, Datsakorn and Surat recovering. If they can recover before the game, they will play because we already have plans and tactic to play with Saudi Arabia". Moreover Vinnie said about calling of second division player,Sarawut Masuk , "Doesn't matter which league you're playing if you are doing good, I am ready give you a chance". The media continued asking about the experience defender, Niweat Siriwong, and the coming back of MT player Panupong Wongsa "No reason to change. Niweat is strong, can deal with the pressure and have experience in national game". During the game, Sompong Soleb was sent to the hospital to check his injury. Schaefer upbeat ahead of World Cup qualifier Thailand coach Winfried Schaefer said yesterday he was pleased with the performance of his second-string side who drew 0-0 with Jordan in a warm-up match at Rajamangala National Stadium on Thursday night.
"We did not play well in the first half but did well in the second half after we made some changes," said the German coach.
"But our strikers were not sharp and that's our problem."
Thailand's top striker Teerasil Dangda was rested because of a slight injury.
Forwards Sarayuth Chaikamdee and Sompong Soleb were in the starting line-up and both squandered a couple of good chances. Sompong got injured in the first half and was substituted.
Schaefer said Chartree Chimtalay is a good striker but he does not have a high chance of playing for his country because he is often on the bench at his club Bangkok Glass.
The German was particularly pleased with left-back Teerathorn Boonmathan's performance.
Apart from Teerasil, midfielders Datsakorn Thonglao and Surat Sukha are also injured.
"If they are fit, they are likely to start against Saudi Arabia," Schaefer said.
Thailand will host Saudi Arabia at Rajamangala stadium on Tuesday in Group D of Asia's qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.
After two games, Australia lead the group with six points, three ahead of Thailand. Saudi Arabia and Oman each have one point.
The top two teams from each of the five groups advance to the continent's final qualifying stage.
