That's the one. Rejected by Southampton. Well I am looking forward to your interview with him There was another guy from Wales at trial with Chonburi a few weeks ago. What happened to him? It was Andy Welsh wasn't it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Welsh

What do we know about Dave Simpson? Looks like Chonburi have made another shrewd signing. We need to get some new faces in too, and do our best to get them settled in quickly. We know that he scored twice on his debut for the reserves last night. I saw the first one but missed the second. He looks like a good signing. http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_news.pl?news=375312

He looked decent enough against BKK Utd reserves in the thirty minutes that I saw him play. He showed good pace and strength whilst scoring the first goal. However, he'll face much stiffer tests in the TPL.

Half time and at this rate, you'll get the 9-0 to send you top.. but don't know how though... Tero should have been 3-0 up before Byrne's Beckham impression.
Nice goals. Good game. Very enjoyable.

Agree. They got off to flyer and we were shocking until Mike's strike. However, it's all about taking your chances. Which we did with some aplomb. The nine goal haul did cross my mind at half time, but I'll settle for four. Match details http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_news.pl?news=376575A full report to follow.

Got my ticket and coach for Chonburi booked. We're due to arrive about 1600. The ticket was only 60 baht.

Interesting you say away fans at Buriram were treated with contempt. I thought BGB said they were made welcome.
That leaves me wondering what reception I can expect on my birthday (away at Buriram).

The locals were fine but it was the heavy handed approach employed by the security guards that I found unsavoury. They confiscated everything from the away fans yet home supporters were openly drinking beer from cans in the section next to ours. They also spent the whole ninety minutes staring into the visitors enclosure and made no attempt to engage in conversation, even when we tried to joke with them. It was just like England back in the eighties. We were also locked in - locked in!! - after the match. I've never experienced that in Thailand before. Hopefully, you'll have a better day out on your birthday.

Ditto. To re-iterate my experience, the locals were great to us, but the same situation as SRS with the staff and the club as a whole, confiscated everything and were generally a miserable bunch. Whilst we weren't locked in, we did spend 90 mins in the 'car park' trying to get out. SRS, were you even allowed water in a bag? I seriously hope they have addressed that by now. I know BG complained to the FA about it.

I'll be there in a week. I would assume that they won't be as heavy handed for buriram f.c games but we'll see.

How different things can be Kallangroar.com : Chonburi FC have completed the signing of England’s goalkeeper Ian Walker. a One-year deal, The Sharks Oversea manager Thanasak Suraprasert expects to sign England's goalkeeper Ian Walker and will be unveiled as a Chonburi player on July 24. Bangkok Post: Meanwhile, former England goal-keeper Ian Walker will come here later this month for a trial with Chonburi FC, the club said yesterday.

I understand the Chonburi manager has said Byrne is not for sale? If so, I feel a bit uncomfortable about the way we have conducted the whole episode.

The Army always seem to raise there game against CFC. I'm sure next week they will be defeated once again. CFC might have lost but i think it will make them raise there game next week. Nothing like kick up the backside.

CFC's game always seem to be brought down to the Army's level when these two sides meet.

Looks like he's just after a free holiday.
Ex Everton coach Mike Walker will be eyeing the CFC hotseat soon.

I must admit that I'm not that keen on the deal. There are other areas that need strengthening ahead of the goalkeeping position. However, we'll see.

Dale can you supply the squad numbers of three Chonburi players to look out for, including your veteran midfielder?
Any more than three will confuse me though :-)
PS I see one of your players got injured in training but I don't know who it is.
