You can read an interview with a Thai Port fan here :
http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_bespoke.pl?page_select=5239

Hmmm. I wonder who that could be?

Good interview, a bit of a change of tack from the questions we normally ask each other.

Marco does a great job with his website.

Thanks, yeah they were good questions!

What would you choose Greg? Muangthong to win the AFC Cup or England to win the World Cup? I went for club over country!

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked C'mon you are England??!! You are waiting since 66!!! The chances your club winning a continental competition is by far higher than England wins a WC. Apart from from this year.  Angry

Score in the first ten seconds and then put 11 men behind the ball for the next 89 minutes and 50 seconds. Not really. They got what they deserved. Wink The most negative team I've seen all season.

Glad you liked the stadium. Did you take the time to appreciate the architectural merits of the floodlight pylons?  Wink

Sounds like they've got the pitch sorted. I recall PEA wanted to use Thammasat for their Champions League qualifier in 2009 but had to switch to Rajamangala because the pitch was a dog.

I took the time to appreciate the whole stadium, not just the floodlight pylons. Smiley

The pitch is far from perfect but, considering how much rain we had before kick off and during the first half, it held up really well. There wasn't a single puddle!

As I say in the report, with just a few quid spent on improvements, it could be a magnificent venue.

Is it like Army FC and Chula Utd where the capacity is so high that there's loads of spare space?

The official attendance, according to Siam Gila, was just over 5,500. I would have put it slightly lower than that. So, in a stadium that holds 25,000, there was enough space to spread out. Smiley

Good, at least I won't have to panic about buying a ticket in advance. I think PU is our next away game.

As for the first question......your guess is as good as mine. However, I'll ask around.

And as for the second.......I don't know for sure but I believe that there won't be a running track. The club officials are very impressed with the Muang Thong and Thai Port close to the pitch English style grounds so I expect we'll get something similar. Smiley

Totally agree regarding the FA Cup. There is plenty of opportunity to play the games on the weekends and extend the season by a few weeks. That would also cut down the ridiculous 5 month off season. There was a pitiful crowd at Rayong too for the game between 2 TPL teams. Obviously midweek games are not practical for a lot of fans too.

Presumably the Toyota cup games are going to be midweek too?
I'm not a fan of having 2 cups when this one can't even be organised properly.
