Chonburi 1-2 Thailand Tobacco Monopoly - 27th November, 2007. The final match of the title winning season ended in a disappointing defeat. However, we'd already won the league, so it didn't really matter. Smiley

A pretty uneventful 0-0 draw. The only real highlights being - meeting the_englishman, seeing lokomotive's photo in the matchday programme and giving Rene a bit of stick as he was sent from the dugout....again!!! Smiley

Maybe Dale knows? I hope for Chonburi's sake, Ney gives more effort to them than he gave for us.

I think he will do a good job for you. As you know, I was never his biggest fan, but for some reason he just failed to click at BG, but you could see he still had a lot to offer in glimpses.

Even the first time I spoke to him, I kind of had a feeling his heart was still in Chonburi as he mentioned CFC a few times.

Anyway, I do wish him the best and hope he can do well for you. On form, he is hard to stop.

I'm sure BG fans will give him a genuinely decent welcome in a few weeks (which will be interesting what with Byrney also).
I can see him (Ney) scoring in that match.

We never really got to see the best of him the last time he was here because he went to Melbourne after only a few matches. However, he was outstanding for Tobbaco Monopoly in 2007. There was another lad, Nasciamento, who was also there at the same time. He was probably better and certainly one of the best overseas players I've seen in the TPL. I wonder what's happened to him?

Just over 2,500 last night. Which is roughly what I was expecting.

That's not a bad gate for midweek and in a competition which doesn't get the same media attention as the TPL.

Sunderland only got about 13,000 for their League Cup game in England the other night even with ticket prices slashed. That's about a third of their normal league gate, so when you put everything into perspective, 2,500 for a cup tie at this stage is not bad at all.
