Chonburi 1-2 Thailand Tobacco Monopoly - 27th November, 2007. The final match of the title winning season ended in a disappointing defeat. However, we'd already won the league, so it didn't really matter. You can see video highlights of the game and the official trophy presentation here http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_news.pl?news=384658

Jesus, how did you spot me there? Even myself had problems to spot me. You need a magnifier for that. But thanks a lot SRS.

Chonburi starts to make me headaches. ..was that the reason Benie was cutted? To get a free slot in the squad for Ney?

Congrats! 250,000 hits in your first year is amazing. I know what hard work constantly updating the site can be but the amount, and quality, of information and pictures on your site is incredible. You'll be close to a million hits a year from now, I guarantee it! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words. I've just found out that we share a birthday with Richie Ramone and Hulk Hogan so I'm pretty pleased.

He looked very sharp on Wednesday. He seems happy to be back and he scored a good goal. Fingers crossed that he can keep it up.

As you know, I was never his biggest fan, but for some reason he just failed to click at BG, but you could see he still had a lot to offer in glimpses. Even the first time I spoke to him, I kind of had a feeling his heart was still in Chonburi as he mentioned CFC a few times. Anyway, I do wish him the best and hope he can do well for you. On form, he is hard to stop. I'm sure BG fans will give him a genuinely decent welcome in a few weeks (which will be interesting what with Byrney also). I can see him (Ney) scoring in that match.

We never really got to see the best of him the last time he was here because he went to Melbourne after only a few matches. However, he was outstanding for Tobbaco Monopoly in 2007. There was another lad, Nasciamento, who was also there at the same time. He was probably better and certainly one of the best overseas players I've seen in the TPL. I wonder what's happened to him?

That's the chap. But even at his prime, he wouldn't have been good enough for us.

Was there a decent turnout for the FA Cup game?
Looking forward to seeing Chonburi when they play at BG and Thai Port next month.

Just over 2,500 last night. Which is roughly what I was expecting.

That's not a bad gate for midweek and in a competition which doesn't get the same media attention as the TPL.
Sunderland only got about 13,000 for their League Cup game in England the other night even with ticket prices slashed. That's about a third of their normal league gate, so when you put everything into perspective, 2,500 for a cup tie at this stage is not bad at all.

"We want to go all the way in the League Cup because the winners will get the chance to compete against the best J-League clubs."
Is Jadet on crack or is there an AFC spot for the winners of the Toyota Cup?

Yes. We had planned to go but I was called out of retirement to play for a local village team in a ...ahem....veteran's competition. We won 2-0.

They won the first one last week so we/they have already qualified for the next round whatever happens next Sunday.

There's a big clue in there.
