Heang, the new technical director of CFC, seems to had an accident on the Bangna road. He was on the way to the trainnig, while it happend. He is now in the Chulalangkorn Hospital. Looks like he had a broken spine. I hope that it is not realy that serious. SRS, do you have any more info? I got from here: http://tiny.cc/XZn36

Damn and I thought that time the translation worked well. But important is that he seems to recover. Still too busy to look all arround, even at christmas time.

SRS, seeing all the new signigs of the other clubs, frankly speaking I do worry a bit about CFC for next season. Is there anything in the pipeline? Kone now also signed with MTU, and I worry that CFC might see only the backlights of Glass, MTU and maybe others.

I know what you mean, Loko. However, throwing the money around doesn't always guarantee success. Plus MTUFC & Thai Port will have other distractions - AFC Cup etc - and they may find it a bit more difficult to compete in the league, especially as other teams will be all out to beat them. Chonburi have proved in recent years that it's not just getting to the top but staying there that is the hard part. 1st, 2nd & 2nd plus decent performances in the AFC competitions isn't a bad record. We can only really judge these "new" clubs in three or four years time. I know it's early days but MTUFCs showing at the Super Cup highlights that their squad doesn't really have much strength in depth. (Will that come back to haunt me? ). And, with their big names missing, they are as ordinary as anyone else. Remember, we still have 5 or 6 internationals to come back - if they all stay - and our only priority in 2010 will be the league. Although it would be nice to do well in the FA Cup and Singapore Cup. Supasek looks like a good signing and Therdsak will be a useful person to have around. The fact that he's still cutting it for the national team speaks volumes. I think that BKK Glass and Tero will do well next year. I'm still gutted that we missed out on Ney Fabiano, especially as he looded pretty sharp last week. And, who knows, we might just surprise everyone with another couple of signings. Here's the lowdown on the new boys : http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_news.pl?news=292095

Dale, I understand CFC are organising a 'queens Cup' tournament. Rajpracha have applied to enter and declined to play in the competition in Chiang Mai. However, this is relying on my notorious translation skills.
Do you have any input?
Sorry if this has been mentioned already and I missed it.

Beside I do still have the conserns. I like pretty much if teams stay together over years, and only a few adjustments are made, and some talented players brought in. I really hate this hire and fire in football. Some time you do have more success if your team stays together and isnt disordered due to new signings.

SRS, are you able to help me out with Kraison Panjaroen? I realy couldnt get an idea what happend with him. Was he playing for Chonburi only the first half of the season 2009? or was he playing the 2nd half of 08 and 1st of 09? And was he only on loan from BU or could get a contract and moved than back to BU?

Here's what I have so far : http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/club_bespoke.pl?page_select=6676I'll be adding more, plus video links, over the next few days. In the meantime, if anyone has any useful information for me, or can fill in any gaps, please PM me on here or drop me a line at nuichonburi(at)gmail.com Thanks

Shark , A Vietnamese newspaper here says that Chonburi and Muang Thong United - now want to get Datsakorn Thonglao's signature - but both can't accept the fee 200000 USD from Hoàng Anh Gia Lai .

I think this is really a shocking amount for an ASEAN Footballer. But anyway, I cross my finger for CFC. Hmmm. Interesting that this story has appeared in the press.

Shark, for how long Therdsak signed? One or two years? And what do you expect? Will he only have the same role as in the NT, coming in for 30 minutes in the second half, or do you think he is able to go the fulltime in the TPL?

As far as I'm aware it's for one season. He still looks pretty fit so I'd expect him to play more than just 30 minutes each week. When he came on last night he was the best player on the pitch.

If he can do 30 minutes at international level, then i'm sure he can do more in the TPL. Against strong opponents, such as Muang, BKK Glass, it may be wise to use him as a sub to change a game. But against clubs such as Sisaket, Navy, Police, he could dictate the game from start to finish and probably open up teams way before the end so he can have an early bath.

He is such a nice guy, and I like his face with that school boy smile on it. And I always love to watch him. I didn't missed any of his A-League games

So the stadium Chonburi are going to use this season: is it the 'new' stadium that was announced a couple of years ago? If not, what happened to that?

That's the OBD Stadium, which is covered further down the list. As far as I'm aware the plan is still for that to be our permanent home. They are spending a lot of time on it to ensure that they get things right. It should be quite an impressive venue when it's finished.

Thanks. I should have read the article first! The pitch looks like it needs a bit of work! Appears to be a two-tiered stand in the background. Should be good when it's finished.

They were just stopping over and getting a bit of practise in on their way to the Regional Super Champ Cup (or whatever it's called) in Phitsanalok. I think it starts on Saturday.

Silly tournament. We are playing on Sunday and Monday. And if we progress we'll be playing on Tuesday, too. Players who haven't seen competitive action since the end of September playing three matches in three days. I wonder what's going to happen. :
