Maybe a bit late, but to the "บางกอก"/"แบงค็อก" thing, its nearly like BGB posted before:
บางกอก - BAANG GOG is the old thai name of Bangkok (now Krungthep) and it means something like Settlement (BAANG) and Olive (GOG), a thai friend told me once, thats because they had a lot of olives decades ago in this area.
แบงค็อก - BANG KOK is the international name of Krungthep/Bangkok how we call it in english.
So I guess the way was บางกอก was transcriptet into BANGKOK which sounds in english like แบงค็อก.

I've had a quick look at the fixture list. I know that it will be changed several times but i'm just curious why Army weekend home games are listed for Saturday while all the rest are Sunday games? Please don't tell me that the FAT would prefer the TPL games to be played on Sundays rather than Saturdays. I think half of the matches will be on saturday and the other half on sunday.

The topic of this thread is still "FA Cup", can we please move the actual discussion to one of the other existing threads?

It would be nice if Thailand would have 1 ACL spot and 2 AFC Cup spots. ACL for the TPL Winner and each 1 Spot in the AFC Cup for the Cup Winner and the TPL runners up.

Would be interesting how the decision would be if Buriram would be in the final against Mueang Thong and Chonburi were the runners up in the league... I would really welcome a foreign referee!

Yeh it stinks. Chonburi should be the team to get the AFC spot and it should be decided in advance.
Agree with that 100%, they should announce before the season starts that the winner of the TPL and Chonburi FC will get the AFC spot

But punishment like this is not the way to solve the problems!
It would be much better if they had punished the teams to invest the 1.000.000 THB in social fan work.

i will not wonder if there will be a group dressed with buriram shirts... after the final whistle someone will tell them that buriram didn't played.

At he 7 eleven counter today i just wanted to buy 2 tickets for 50 THB, but only got the last one. From the 80 THB Tickets there were just 500 left.
Will be very different on Sunday. Hopefully everything will be peaceful.

Actual the 50 THB Tickets for Chonburi at 7eleven are sold out.
I have the bad feeling that a lot of them were bought in North Eastern Thailand ... :/

did they sing their burirum songs?
complete unintelligible for me. i often talked to some thai people who really like to wear shirts of a team that is not playing. maybe its their culture. if the thai national team would play in chiang mai, maybe some people would wear a chiang mai shirt, if they would play in chonburi, sure some people (maybe more then some) would wear a chonburi shirt, but why a big group have to wear burirum shirts in bangkok? if this would be leeds united and not leicester city, would they also be there?

This would mean
Matchday 29: M150 vs Chonburi & PEA vs. Police
Matchday 30: Chonburi vs. PEA & Police vs. M150
?
To comment this fantastic idea with one repeating number in thai: 555

A couple of interesting matches. I am sure my girlfriend will hate me, cause I told her, that "my" season will be finished end of October ... Even on the last days with my "favorietes" play against each other. Poor me, I will be in Germany that time.

Rayong vs. Muang Thong/Nonthaburi
Thai Army vs. Chonburi
// When I got it right Muang Thong will meet Nonthaburi on 27. October, the Semifinals will be on 30. October and the Final will be played on 29. November.

I see only a small difference between the dancing and singing among Buriram fans and those at Muangthong. Even BG Glass and Thai Port have certain sections of the crowd following instructions from blokes/women with megaphones.
The difference is that the other groups react to the match. Sometimes they sing louder, sometimes they stop singing, sometimes they swear and sometimes they dance, but it's relative to the match. It's a big up and down all 90 minutes long. Buriram is nice, looks good, but it's monotonic and has nothing to do with the match. Watch Buriam lose against Thai Army and watch them win against Muang Thong, the crwod will do the same performance.

Tonight at the PAT Stadium was the first time I've watched PEA Buriram. I've got to admit that their fans were fantastic. They cheered, sang and danced for the full 90 minutes and were extremely well behaved. I wish I could say the same about their counterparts.
I was there too. I must say I love a loud and cheerful crowd, but Buriram looks more like a dancing squad. Even in the last minutes, most of the Thai Port fans went crazy, Buriram (3rd) against Thai Port (4th) a very hectic match and the score was still 0:0. I would shout and go crazy but the last thing I would do in that moment is to perform a studied clap and dance choreography.

Top 3 stadium for me right now 1. Thai Port 2. Muang Thong ... ... ... 3. Bangkok Glass
Hopefully BG will get a 4th stand soon. What I like (and don't also like) is that every stand is much diffent. But I really love the big home stand.
Muang Thong and Thai Port are number 1 and 2, Maybe the Muang Thongstadium itself is a bit better, but the surraounding of the PAT Stadiums makes it to be the number 1 for me.
