Cheers wolfman,

I got the fact their weren't Everton when I saw Buriram's strip after directed to! I have to plead my ignorance, and thus coming here to get the full story and be educated in all matters Thai.

So could it be said that Top and his dad are not the main money in this consortium? I know they are pretty wealthy, but could it be argued they are just the public face of the consortium?

Hi Greg,

Many thanks for the info. There didn't look like a tremendous amount of action on this forum, but if you don't ask etc.

It's funny, you mentioned a name there that has been kept hushed over here, or simply not picked up - Newin Chidchob. He must be our mystery third party, that somehow the press and fans have forgotten about once the deal was ratified by the FA.

I think there was always a danger that anything political might effect our buying power, or the longevity of the owners tenure at Leicester, which is a genuine worry.

As for the crowd, I did see that everyone was wearing, I could be mistaken...Everton shirts? but I dismissed this as me reading into too much.

I appreciate that Leicester are not a big Prem name, and therefore wouldn't have the kudos that big names such as Chelsea/Man Utd/ Liverpool/ Arsenal have. But they have spent serious money on promotion. Asian tours and what not. It's nice in some ways that we won't have to spend that much, as we have an outlet however they are perceived by the general public.

We can only hope that we get into the Premiership sooner than later. Sven-Goran Eriksson should bring the quality in, now we can afford it.

Thanks for responding. It's nice actually to have the honest perspective view from Thailand.

Hi,

My name is Paul, and I support Leicester City.

I have joined this forum to see if I can learn more about our new owners King Power, and see if anyone in Thailand will be following Leicester City's season to see how we are getting on.

I'd like maybe to be able to answer some questions about the club, the team or Leicester in general, if you were interested.

You can find a link to my blog, and other sources below:

I look forward to speaking to you and learning more about Thai football, and your great fans!  Smiley

(I watched Leicester play against your National side, and your fans were brilliant!)
