Khalid Al Dossary gave Bahrain the lead after just 17 minutes as the Arab side dominated the game, Thai goalkeeper Kittisak Rawangpa misjudging Al Dossary’s free-kick from the left.

Eighteen minutes into the second half, however, the Thais pulled level through former Huddersfield Town striker Kiatisuk Senamuang, who capitalised on a defensive error to score.

The draw was the second in a row for Peter Withe’s side as they continued their recovery from their opening day loss to Iraq. The Thais took a point from their draw with Iran last week in Bangkok and the result doubled their points tally.
