Buriram extend lead with 4-0 win (23/05/2011)
Cameroon striker Franck Ohandza scored a hat-trick for high-flying Buriram PEA who extended their lead to six points after a 4-0 away win at SCG Samut Songkhram in the Thai Premier League yesterday .
Buriram attacked from the start and Ohandza put his team ahead in the 16th minute.
Samut Songkhram tried to fight back but the Thunder Castle defence was very solid and they went in a half-time with a 1-0 lead.
Buriram took full control of the game in the second half and went 2-0 up when Ohandza headed home a corner in the 61st minute.
Only four minutes later, Ohandza completed his hat-trick, converting a pass from Suchao Nutnum.
Obama Joseph Florent rounded off the scoring for the league leaders with a header just before the final whsitle to make it 4-0.
At Chonburi Physical Education stadium, cellar dwellers Siam Navy drew 1-1 with visiting TTM Phichit.
Yeong Gi Sung gave Phichit the lead in the 15th minute. But before half-time Phichit were reduced to 10 men when Jung Ho Jin was sent off for a second yellow card offence.
In the 51st minute Olof Watson scored the equaliser for the Navy but they still remain at the foot of the table.
Khon Kaen FC were also involved in a 1-1 home draw against Pattaya United (the Blue Dolphin).
The Khon Khaen Kouprey took the lead in the 17th minute through Kampaeng Saiwut but Pattaya striker Ludovick Takam equalised just before half-time. Neither side could add to their tally in the second half .
