Thai manager Anucha offers to quit (13/12/2010)

Thailand national team manager Anucha Nakasai said he is ready to quit if it could help solve the problems facing the Football Association of Thailand following the poor performances of the team.

However Anucha felt that President of the FAT, Worawi Makudi, should not resign as the poor showing was not entirely his fault.

Worawi has been under fire from Thai supporters who believe he has not done enough to improve the standard of the Thai team.

Anucha said the disappointing display by Thailand in the recent Suzuki Cup was because domestic competitions clashed with the team's preparations for the tournament.

"We have learned our lesson to ensure the planning is better in future," he said.

Worawi and national coach Bryan Robson are holding a press conference on December 24 to discuss ways of improving Thailand's performances .
