Woman's ASIAN CUP: Myanmar 0-2 Thailand (24/05/2010)
Chengdu: Thailand rounded off their AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 campaign on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Myanmar at Shangliu Sports Centre on Monday.
Both sides were playing only for pride with Japan and DPR Korea having already cemented the top two places in Group A.
But Thailand ensured they did not suffer the ignominy of finishing bottom of the standings with their first win in the tournament.
Skipper Junpen Seesraum opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute before Myanmar had Khin Moe Wai sent off nine minutes later.
The Thais failed to convert numerous chances after that but substitute Waranya Chaikantree made the win safe with a goal a minute before full time.
