Thailand's national football team will train a month with English Championship side Ipswich Town FC to help them prepare for the 15th Asian Games in Qatar. Charnwit Phalajivin, who is the head coach for both the Asian Games team and the pre-Olympic squad, said training will begin on July 15 at the National Football Centre, Nong Jok before the team takes part in the Merdeka Cup in Malaysia from August 20-30.

He said the team would then go for a month's training with Ipswich in England from September 1-30.

''This will be great for the team because our players can concentrate on training and tactics, '' he said.

The team would later have warm-up matches with teams from South Korea or Japan.

''For the final training, we will go on tour to the Middle East in November so the players get used to the weather before entering Qatar.''
