Thailand cruise past Pakistan (19 July 2009)
The Thai national team beat Pakistan 4-0 in their final warm-up match yesterday before taking on Liverpool on Wednesday.
Two goals from Teerasil Dangda and one apiece from Rangsan Vivatchaichoke and Teerathep Winothai gave Thailand an easy win at Thunderdome.
Teerasil opened the scoring after just seven minutes. A minute later, Rangsan added the second goal for the Thai team from the spot.
Pakistan, who lost 2-0 to Thailand's SEA Games side on Thursday, found themselves 3-0 down at half-time after Teerasil's second strike in the 16th minute.
Teerathep, who replaced Teerasil, completed the rout seconds after the restart.
It could have been worse for Pakistan had Rangsan netted from the spot.
"We played well but Pakistan tightened up their defence in the second half which made it more difficult for us to score," said Thailand coach Peter Reid.
Thailand will play Liverpool in a friendly at Rajamangala stadium on Wednesday at 8pm.
