Thailand will play a warm-up match against Saudi Arabia in freezing conditions in Sendai, Japan tomorrow. When the Thai team arrived in Sendai yesterday, the city was hit by snow with the temperature being -3 degrees Celsius.

But Thailand coach Peter Reid was not worried about the weather saying his players experienced a similar situation when they played Jordan in Amman in an Asian Cup qualifier last month.

''I believe that the Thai players will be able to adapt themselves to the weather. We have brought with us warm clothes and medicine so we should be ready for the match,'' Reid said.

The match is part of the Saudis' preparations for their World Cup qualifier against North Korea in Pyongyang on Feb 11. Thailand have been eliminated from the 2010 World Cup qualifying round.
