Peter Reid's Thailand will begin their qualifying campaign for the AFC Asian Cup with an away match against Jordan on January 14 next year.

Thailand have been drawn in Group B of the qualifying round alongside Iran, Jordan and Singapore.

The 2011 Asian Cup will be hosted by Qatar and the qualifiers, on a home and away basis, will run from 2009 to 2010.

After Jordan, Thailand will face Iran in Bangkok on January 28.

There is a long break before the next set of fixtures, when Thailand travel away to Singapore on November 14 before returning home to face the same country four days later.

The last two matches will be played in 2010 with the home tussle against Jordan on January 6 and the final match against Iran in Teheran on March 3.

Englishman Reid starts work as the Thai national coach on September 1.

He succeeds Chanvit Phalajivin who quit last month after Thailand were dumped out of the 2010 World Cup qualifying round.
