Thailand are hoping to earn their first point in their World Cup qualifying group when they meet Bahrain in Manama today.

Thailand lost 3-2 to Bahrain in Bangkok on Monday for their third straight defeat in as many games in Group Two. On the other hand, the Gulf side have won all their first three matches.

Thailand are bottom of the group and virtually out of contention with two teams advancing to the next qualifying stage.

Thailand coach Chanvit Phalajivin said his men were weakened by the hot and dry weather with the temperature over 40 degrees Celsius.

The Thais are likely to be without defender Kiatprawut Saiwaew, midfielder Sutee Suksomkit and striker Teerasil Dangda.

Chanvit said he and his players would do their best for pride in the remaining three games.

The match kicks off at 11.30pm Thai time.
