Leesaw joins forces with Thana (August 10, 2006)

Thailand's Asian Games football team will have Teerathep 'Leesaw' Winothai and Thana Chanboot as the striking duo for today's warm-up match against China in Qing Huang Dao. Head coach Charnwit Phalajivin said he was not worried about the result as he just wanted his Under 23 side to gain experience against a good side.

''It is very unlikely we can beat them, but it will be a useful indicator to see how far we have progressed,'' he said. ''We need to find out our weak points so we can sort it out before the Asian Games.''

Team manager, Thavatchai Sajakul said he was pleased that Thailand was taking on China. ''It will be a good test and hopefully we will play more strong teams in our build-up for the Asian Games.''
